Selling Admin Forums with $40/month revenue and 140K alexa

I'm selling my established webmaster forum

The Vbulletin license DOES NOT come with the purchase due to the fact it is ineligible for transfer.

It has 2310 posts, 464 threads and 214 members. The site gets around 80-100 unique visits a day and has made me $43 dollars so far in the month of June. Most of the revenue has come from selling header and footer links, which I will show the new user how to do. The rest of the money has come from Adsense(will provide proof via PM.) Traffic proof is listed below:

The purchase of the forum also includes the .net and .info versions of this domain (adminscene.net/.info.) In addition, the purchase includes a custom theme by CompleteVb which cost 34.95. It also includes a custom theme created by one the members of the forum. The forum currently has an alexa of 148,555 which shows you how much traffic the site gets.

Bidding ends in 7 days. If bidding will not receive reserve price or if it does not get binned then I will NOT relist this site for many months. This is a great deal and the owner will be able to gain back cost through ad revenue.

 

how can it be the 148,555th in Alexa Ranking and It gets only 80-100 unique visits per day ?? are you using bots to increase alexa ranking ??
I have a site with 2000 unique visits per day and it is only on the 300.000th place .

 

Just a smart way of advertising - he doesn't have much traffic, it's because it's an admin forum.
Most webmasters/admins use the alexa toolbar in hopes of increasing their own site's alexa rank - which also boosts forums/communities those admins visit.
I know this from experience (I used to own a webmaster forum as well). Anyways, Alexa isn't always accurate.

 

No, no bots were used. I can't really explain why my alexa is so high. I think Infranight explained a possible explanation.

 

Why is almost 50% of the traffic direct?

Then that traffic would come from a referring site, not direct, unless the users hover over your link, copy the URL and paste it in their address bar, which I highly doubt.

 

Hmm.. I'm not really sure then. If anybody wants to see AWStats for this site, then let me know.

Also, just to clarify everything. The site has made around $5 dollars in the past 7 days from Adsense (will show proof via PM.) Besides that, the rest of the profits came from selling yearly banner spaces on the header. Let me know if you need any more info.

If you have already sold the banners how will we make money from it? Are you refunding the buyers of the advertising or does it have to stay up there?

 

It must stay up there, but if you look at the header the is still room for a lot more links. Plus, you also have the footer to sell links as well. Auction ends in 30mns guys. Again, if I do not get reserve price for this, it will not be sold.

 

Sooooooooo....what are you actually selling? An undeveloped webiste? This is nothing else other than an empty data base for Vbulletin.
