I do not think it is good to use all in one seo tool. This is for me, i do not know what you think. This reason is simply. I believe the content of your post usually contains more than 250 words, but all in seo description contains less than 250 characters. When you use all in seo pack, it disables the search engine from crawling the content of your post while directing its crawl at the description of your all in seo pack. This will reduce your traffic because they are many words in the content of your post that will get you more traffic than the all in seo characters. Prove me wrong if you think this is not the case.
The meta description isn't used for ranking your site, it the used for what to display on the search results page. Google limits this to about 160 characters.
is it still possible for google to display what is in the content of the post? this is good if google does not see the keyword in the meta description but sees it in the post content.
All In One will function however you set it up. You don't have have every box checked. You use the functions that you want. It is not damaging your site, or your position in the SERP's.
I started with All in One, but quickly moved to Headspace. I like the site modules it has available setup google, yahoo, bing webmasters tools, analytics and a whole lot more! I also find headspace doesn't seem to conflict with other plugins as much as All in One.
What do u think, Thesis Theme Post meta description field also stop Search engines to crawl ur post text or not?
The answer i need is if all in one seo plugin stops the search engines from crawling your post text? Yes or No?
Wait a minute. You are the one that started the thread. You mean you don't have any proof of this? Then what the heck is this crap...? I'm willing to listen to this hypothesis if it has any merits. Do you have any proof of what you claimed?
I have used AIOSEO for dozens of websites and never had a problem. It seems to give me all the control I need.
I used Wootheme premium theme which has built in seo plugin and tested it but the result disappoint me. Some of my blogpost that shown in 1st page Google SERP when I used All In One SEO were gone so I turn back. I think All In One are very good.
All In One SEO Pack is made for people who are running crappy WordPress themes. The really GOOD themes out there like Thesis from DIYThemes.com/thesis have pretty much EVERY SEO option built in... exposed throught the theme's admin pages. The problem is that 99.999% of the themes written are total crap from an SEO perspective and All In One SEO Pack is the ONLY thing out there pretty much to help you make the most (still not optimal) out of a bad situation (or crappy theme).
If you need a theme to help you with SEO, then you are in the wrong business. Sure, it's nice to have pre designed slots to input your SEO information, but you don't NEED that to succeed. That is an option that is more appealing to noobs who don't know how to do it any other way. Wordpress it self is SEO friendly. 99% of the premium themes out there DO NOT suck. Selling "SEO' themes to noobs is big business, just like selling "Adsense Ready" themes. Let me tell you something...just about every theme with widgets is Adsense Ready, and unless a theme is just completely coded horribly, they are all SEO friendly because it's not the theme...it's the Wordpress platform that provides the bulk of the SEO tools and functions. Throw in a few select plug ins of your choice and after that, the rest is up to you and your skills and knowledge...not the theme. The theme's most important job is to organize your content and attract readers. Readers buy stuff and click ads, not your page rank. There isn't a theme out there ( I don't care what the designers claim) that is going to give any more of a leg up than any other all by itself. If you know what you are doing, you can rank a paper bag with scribble on it. I have seen just as many sites using Thesis that have no traffic or Page Rank as I have default Kubrick themed sites that are heavily trafficked and ranked well. It's the biggest fallacy in this business and only complete noobs believe it. It's like labeling items in the grocery store "Cholesterol Free" when they never had Cholesterol in the first place. If you think these guys don't know what buzz words to use and what features to emphasize to appeal to your lack of knowledge and experience, you are kidding yourself. It's marketing and you keep falling for it because you don't know any better. "Easy" is the most coveted thing in this business because people want to believe that some aspect of this is easy money so they will buy anything that claims to give them some kind of advantage in the eyes of Google. Some of it has merit, but most of it is just marketing. If All In One SEO, Thesis, or any other SEO tool didn't exist...would you still know what to do? If the answer is yes, you have proved my point. If your answer is no, then you are in trouble. Don't get me wrong, convenience is nice to have, but don't make it seem like it's some kind of integral formula for success. It has nothing to do with how successful site is. You are not going to be anymore successful using Thesis or any other "SEO Theme" merely because of the theme. No matter what theme you use, when your site goes live, it is on an even playing field with everyone else. What happens next is because of you. The theme has no special powers or privileges in the eyes of the SE's.
My question is yet to be answered. It is: The answer i need is if all in one seo plugin stops the search engines from crawling your post text? Yes or No?
DUDE! YOU STARTED THE THREAD ! None of use ever heard of such nonsense, so the only person you are badgering for an answer is yourself. You are the one who made the claim. Now you are asking us if what you said has any merit?
You are not bothering me. After looking back on your post...I think that maybe there is a little language barrier and you didn't phrase the original post correctly as a question. It seemed to be a statement. To answer your question, I have never heard such a thing concerning All In One SEO. I would think that by now it would have been discovered. I and thousands of others have been using it without problems for years. I'm actually not sure how deep spiders crawl anyway. I can't imagine that they actually crawl an entire post on the first few passes, maybe over time. So to answer your question, no. I don't think it is true. Maybe someone else has a different opinion.
This is incredibly wrong. The ONLY purpose of a meta tag description is so that the Search Engines can use that in the search results - so there's no point in having over 250 characters. Often times, if someone searches for a keyword, your page ranks but the keyword is not in the meta tag description, search engines will show an excerpt from your content instead. AIO SEO is actually a great plugin from my perspective (SEO is my profession). Canonical tags, noindex tags are awesome features.
Like sevnrock said, this plugin just changes the meta description and the title of your post in the SE's eyes so it's not actually changing the content that is indexed. I personally love it because I can make my descriptions pull more clicks and change the titles to something more relevant. For example a lot of my pages on my blog are selling stuff or squeeze pages. So I can organize them in my wp admin area by title, but then I use the SEO tool to change the visible title of the page so everyone else sees what I want them to see, and I can keep my pages organized. =) Hope that made sense.
