I was just wondering is there any time frame between hop being reported and sale from that visit. Like if someone visits and decides to buy something right away, will hop be reported first and then later a sale or does it happen instantly?
Actually, one time I bought something through my own personal affilaite link so I could get a discout on it, and it took like an extra 45 minutes to an hour to get the sale posted on there. So They are not always instant.
Thanks for replies. Yes I didn't think they would be reported instantly as they happen, but I meant as in compared to hops. I guess I phrased the question wrong.
Seems to be about 30 mins to an hour for me...I sat down one day and recorded the sales receipt time while noting the time it was actually posted...Hops are all over the place...So delayed that I don't even bother trying to figure out the time between clicking and registering on your analytics...
It can take anywhere from a couple minutes to several hours. Don't stress out about it, though. Just focus on traffic and your conversion rates and the sales will show up, trust me. When I was a new affiliate I was the worst ever about checking CB every two minutes, worrying about potential "tracking issues," etc. All it did was cause me undue stress and take time away from the activities that make me money.
In some cases, I've seen CB sales to be recorded instantly. Here I don't want to say CB is always instant.
I'm not really sure but I think that CB sales are recorded instantly when you view it in the "Transactions" report. It may take some time for the sale to reflect on the dashboard (the one with bars) and on Analytics.
