I have a quick question for those of you who run humor/entertainment websites or blogs. I am thinking about starting one, but I would like to get an idea of how much money you get on average per click? Is it low?

    Thanks guys :)

Entertainment/Celebrity niche is over crowded and has very low epc.
I used to run one and was getting like 2 or 3 cents per click average.

Wow..that is terrible. I will back away. It's soooo hard trying to come up with ideas regarding my next website! I know I want to do some type of blog. Do you guys know of any topics that pay pretty decent per click?

Humor/Entertainment considered as low pay niche, you can expect to get good CPC from low pay niche.
By the way, this kind of niche normally can easily get traffic and clicks

I have funny jokes and funny pictures site on which I used google adsense for 15 days and earned $10 but I stopped using it because with google adsense there is always a problem that they ban your account saying we found "invalid click activity" and you just can't do anything.

I have lost my 2 google adsense account because of that and I did not do any fraud but they banned my account :(

It is better to go with direct sales, this way you can satisfy your clients with the traffic you sent to their site :)

I get a decent amount of money per clicks with my humor website. Although my technology based one does earn better per click.

Humor and Entertainment websites are notorious for low $EPC. ,... BUT... If you optimize your ads correctly to show ads for stuff that humor and entertainment readers would use, such as flat screen TVs or Nintendo Wii's, rather than an ad for BRITNEY SPEARS PICS your EPC will earn you A LOT more.
