I am working for a client that owns a pharmacy website, he is looking to have some SEO work done do get the site listed on the first page of google. Any advice would be helpful.
Try optimize your client Main Keyword site.....use main key word on your client domain and got as much back link with main keyword as possible...seo isn't easy....because SEO is WAR...
Target some keywords on different pages. Then do strong on page activity and then off-page. You will need to have good amount of niche and also try to get strong relevant backlinks from different ways like article submission, press releases, forum posting and blog commenting. I would also suggest to have local directory listing.
Tell your client that you are sorry for wasting his time and dont take jobs that you dont know how to accomplish.
use this tool to check what keyword you should use for better ranking. https://adwords.google.com/o/Target...earch.none!ideaType=KEYWORD&requestType=IDEAS
When you say pharmacy, you mean a legitimate pharmacy? That would be tough. You are not going to beat a big chain store. If you mean for individual drugs like viagra or something, you would optimize it for that. If you don't know how to optimize a site, perhaps he should not be a client, as was stated. Just a side note. if you do try and optimize for viagra or some other type of drug like that, beware that many are looked upon as spam/scam sites. Hard to build high PR backlinks with the word viagra in it, as most places will not accept it. Stephen C
Effective search engine optimization isn't something you can kind of do or try to figure it out in your spare time. It takes years of experience, hundreds of hours of labor and understanding the mechanics of the search engine algorithms. I would suggest finding an outside company that will be able to get the job done professionally and effectively. Otherwise, ultimately you will be held responsible for the failures of the campaign. When it comes down to the wire, I think any business owner will agree that they would rather have their employees be upfront and admit that they don't have the time, ability, or the necessary expertise to get something done rather than trying to do it and either fail at getting it done or even worse, screwing something up in the process.
We know that pharmacy sites are considered one of difficult to optimized niche. (almost all directories don't accept pharmacy sites ) So, I think the best seo practice you will use will be getting quality links from authority sites, blogging and updated contents of your sites.
