Would AdSense have an issue with this?

Please take a look at the attached image.

I'm developing a site which will display images. To get more information a person will have to click on the image. Is it against AdSense TOS if I incorporate AdSense Images which would be the same size as the images people are supposed to click on?

you cannot put adsense ads next to images. however, as long as you have clear dividing line that separates the images form ads, you are fine.

It's hard to say. Just have one thing in mind, don't try to trick the visitor to click the ad.

So perhaps a small break in space?

What about if I do my proposed idea but instead of an adsense image I put adsense text? I would think that would be ok..?

It's a fine line - Google's big thing is that you don't try to trick people into clicking on the ads, so there's a chance someone (like one of Google's account managers) might interpret what you're proposing in that way. If you think you can defend yourself well enough, then give it a shot, but at least be prepared for the fact that they might pull your site.

if your CTR low, then no problem no matter how you place. If your CTR higher than 5% even 10%, google will check your site manually

It does look like a gray area to me personally. That is not an exact against but a trickery trying to convince the clicks. However, if this page has been manual review by human staff it would lead you account some troubles without a doubt.

You may lose your Adsense account if you do this.
