Something you haven't seen in a phpLD directory yet :D

    I'm proud of this :p

I have been approached several times for a MOD based on the infamous templatemonster.com mouse overs. I'm pretty sure everyone is aware of the 'preview' they give. really slick stuff. So anywho..

mouse over the regular link titles :D

    http://www.directorydump.com/internet/directories/paid/

Hope this isn't grounds for an infraction. I just wanted to share/express my overly joyous self.

    Rob

Wow, Rob. That has to be one of the coolest mods I have seen implemented for a PHPLD directory. I am soooo jealous! :D

    Thx guys.

I've been messing around quite a bit and I was able to get things pretty tweaked and stylized. Although I think I have it a bit too tweaked, I just wanted to see how far I could go. I think I have a nice plain idea in mind that will be of use, but i'lll impliment that tomorrow. :)

Looks really cool, but probably it will be more useful with a bigger image, in my opinion.

    no problem. thats done.

that was the initial intent for the MOD. I have something else that is going to go along with this so I will no longer have to use thumbnails, but rather nice clear images hosted by the directory itself. Oh such goods days to come ahead. bwahahahaha

My 2 cents I would change from Supporter and NON-Supporter to sponsored and regular, I just think that “NON-Supporter” gives a bad connotation. And "NON" on capital letters just pushes it a little more :D

well, thats EXACTLY what they are. NON paid submissions.

a featured, a regular, a regular with reciprocol are *paid*
(hence the color coordination) and are thus, supporters

    Supporters are:
    1. color coded
    2. shown first (ordered->featured->regular->regular w.reciprocol->non-supporter)

    NON-supporters are:
    1. grey
    2. shown LAST
    3. have option to upgrade listing or they get 'the boot' and expire in 15 days.

you're not paying attention to the legend color key.

Try clicking on the [review site] for the non-supporters for a laugh in bright RED

    It's up there now. ;)

Also, based on what were were discussing earlier, and yesm with 'pun intended' only the 'supporter' e.g. colored links have the mouse overs now. lol

p.s. - im not a phpld developer. i only play oneon the internet :D
p.s.s. - the template you see on directorydump.com is no longer mine(it's sold). i will be redesigning it with something to try and at least rival it.

Yeah, it looks good and loads faster, but will you take the screenshot manually or by some automated software or the submitters have to submit the screenshots?

    submitter can upload screenshot.
believe me, i didn't label this directory 'advanced phpLD' for nothing ;)

I looked into automated screenshots and although complex, it can be done, but damn is it gong to be a real b*tch to try and do. I don't want to use any 3rd party software. All of my MODs are 100% phpLD driven and I would like for it to stay that way.

    Hi Rob,

If you have lots of stuff like this, did you want me to blog about it (more info here)?

All I need from you is what you have and what sort of price or how to contact you if someone wants it for their directory.

I really don't have much time to write/blog about what I do etc etc, so for that reason I haven't been able to do anything myself. I even regg'd phpld.org because I was going to want to try and eventually do it, but time constraints and all elements involved just aren't allow it at present.

I did add on an additional page to the directory if you'd like to take a look at it. It's nothing much, just a few descriptions of the stuff in the directory.

Honestly speaking, that directory is so souped up, I cannot remember all of the MODs that are in it. But anywho... http://www.directorydump.com/mods.php is you care to read.

    I appreciate the offer.

    Rob

an0n, not bad, but the advantage of this MOD is what?

Do you judge links by their thumbnailed views, or by their contents?
