Can you name a few? Also what is free and what is not? Can you name a free incoming fax service? I've been searching for it and I can't find one. The closest thing I can find for free incoming fax service is Onesuite's $1/month unlimited incoming fax service. Now I'm ready to save that $1/month and get a me a nice lemonade if you can find me a free incoming fax service.
Receiving fax-to-email http://www.efax.com/ http://www.freefaxtoemail.net/ http://www.j2.com/ Free trials http://www.myfax.com/ http://www.maxemail.com/
Hmmm...I checked on those links and here's what I got. eFax- It's hard to find how to sign up for the Free account because it keeps on wanting me to sign up for the trial account. Finally I was able to sign up and gave me a 917 area code fax number which because its free, you can not chose the area code. I've sent a 7 page test fax and I got it on my email after 11 minutes. The file is an .efx file which I don't know how to open. Checking eFax site, it says I need to download and install their fax viewer. I was able to view the fax but it doesn't tell me the number it came from. Also reading the TOS I found this http://home.efax.com/customerAgreements/efax/customerAgreement_en.html?intl#1 So it looks like 20 pages is all you can receive for the eFax Free account. I receive around 50 to 100 pages in my Onesuite Fax so no, this Efax Free account will not work for me. Free Fax to Email - I successfully signed up on this one and everywhere I look it says its free receiving. Now when I see my Fax number it says 0872 111 4817. Now looking closely on their website, this is a UK number. I thought you said Most email-fax services are free for North America and Canada then you gave me a UK fax service? J2.com - Sorry dude this is not free. I see there is a subscription fee of $15/month. I thought you said its free? Oh well I really thought I could save that $1/month I am paying Onesuite for the unlimited incoming fax service. I told you I've done my searching but didn't find any real free incoming fax service. Care to try again Eve?
I've seen a lot of different email fax services online, but FaxitFast.com seems to be a solid service. They offer a 30 day risk-free trial and let you pick the area code PLUS the actual fax number. Their cheapest plan is only $5.83 /mo and comes with 250 inbound / outbound faxes. You can also get a toll free number at no extra cost and they let you cancel your account anytime so you're not tied down to long term contracts. Also, you can use your monthly allotment how you want so you don't have to worry about "minutes" or how many inbound vs. outbound faxes you are using.
