hello, last year, in november i launched a new site. i have about 3000 pages on it and few backlinks from other sites with PR 4. From those pages I have indexed only 200 pages. I check daily and i have a fluctuation between 189 and 203 pages. I submited a sitemap with 800 pages in google webmaster central but onliy 256 pages apper to be indexated. is this normal for less than a year domains ? thanks!
5 MOnths old and 3000 posts = Your site is an autoblog. Dont expect much from autoblogs... Get real content your own and all pages will be indexed anyway, Your will be indexed may be a 500 or 800 Possibly.. and Google even can remove your from database for content replication too Thanks.
no, it is not an auto blog....it is not a blog. it is a site with classfieds and i have some duplicate(up to 40% which is duplicate because user when post an announce the won't write diiferent text for different sites) and some original announcements
Crawling requires resources on part of Google 1) eliminate dup content issues completely 2) submit categorywise sitemaps and a master sitemap 3) have enough amount of unique content on all pages 4) get some deep links 5) have flat architecture
Try to interlink all the pages of your site with eachother and I am sure you will see improved number of indexed pages! Regards, RightMan
Hi, adresanet A fluctuation on indexing pages is a normal issue just like SERP on Google, IMO. Generally speaking, building deep backlinks for inner pages and having a well structured navigation system would be helpful for indexing purpose. Have a nice day,
I think you will have to work on some unique content because google loves unique content .I think so if these are unique you will certainly find them indexed .
The indexed pages fluctuation in Google is seems common regardless to how old of your website. I think the deep link building could be a long term resolution for this, but a bit harder for forum type website.
