Footer Not Working Properly -- Very Strange Thing Going on -- Please Help

    I discovered today that my footer links aren't working. I went in and looked at the HTML and for some reason there were some extra symbols embedded throughout that look like this: \\\

    I recopied my HTML code and hit save changes and those same symbols go back in. I have redownloaded my theme and it didn't help. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Have you done any changes (trying to remove some links) in your footer.php ??

    The only thing I've done in my footer recently is reword some of the text in my HTML. I never do anything with the php.

    If footer is encrypted then you can't change or alter anything there else its stop working.
