Hi im looking for some advice on general bum marketing. Ive been learning bits and bobs here and there about it. Ive been thinking about writing articles and then submitting them to ezine and attaching click bank affiltiate links to them. But then i heard that you cant put affiliate links on ezine so is it best to buy a domain name and put that on there and tie that to my click bank link? Ive heard you can do it for free. To get more sales is it best to submit to multiple article directorys? I heard people talk about back links and stuff but im not really sure what they are. Im prepared to put the work in by writting the original articles and im told thats half the battle, but im just not really sure how to capitalize on this. Any help would be appricated. Thanks Guys. Jamie
Hi Jamie, firt of all welcome to digitapoint and welcome to CB. CB is profitable and yes bum marketing is a great way to start with, if you can write original eye catching articles then you will definetely make money. most article directories do no allow aff links, this includes EzineArticles. From my experience EzineArticles and Buzzle are the best performing article directories. what are backlinks? backlinks are links that come from other sites that points to your site, with an anchor text. This anchor text tell the SE (including Google) that your site is targeted to this keyword. Which is great of SEO purpose. this way you will be able to rank in the search engines (SERP). The only problem with article marketing (bum marketing) is consistence, it is not easy to be consistent. Spencially when you will realise that only few percent of your articles will bring constant traffic. It all goes down to catchy titles and call to action resource box. Which means plenty of keyword research. hope this helps you get started. and good luck!
If you can churn out articles consistently then article marketing still works great. You can pick up a domain name for less than $10 and just redirect the traffic to your affiliate offer or your optin page etc, you could also use squidoo or wetpaint instead of your own domain as these tend to rank well. Make sure the keywords you are targeting don't have too much competition in the search engines and your articles will have a better chance of ranking.
The article marketing is my favorite method of making sales because i do not invest anything here except time . I write one article and rewrite that single article into 5 or more unique articles and then submit these to the top article directories with my link. Do not post affiliate links. Write a 350 - 500 words article preferred for good results. Change resource box content for every article directories. Also write headline like titles to attract visitors more.
I was thinking to write another book on article marketing to help everyone that's still struggling ... Meanwhile head to bummarketingmethod.com ... that's a great resource. T Dub. knows his stuff. Al.
T dub? this isn't him is it? I thought it was the magic of making up guys? but yeh bummarketingmethod is a great resource to learn the ropes from
It would be a good investment if you build your own website. Submit articles to Ezine and other directories and then link them to your site. In this way, you're building backlinks to your site. You can also try building linkwheels.
