Social media Concept is a new in SEO as per my point of view...

Agreed. Google is planning to consider site loading time for ranking purpose; though it is not in action yet. SEOs should now focus on light website theme and images from now on. This is to give a visitor more user-friendly and fast website visit experience so they don't have to wait long to see their desired site.

I would say the new trend is the social media optimization. 1/10 of the world population uses social media. Soon more people will use Facebook than Google...

i dont understand how SEO is linked to Social media sites ?

 

SEO and SMO is linked together like typewriting and letters. You can do link marketing, content writing, onsite and offsite SEO... a lot of SEO skills which are all needed for best and fastest results in SERP -s. If you miss a spot it cant be perfect. Leaving out the SMO from a websites online marketing campaign is like typewriting without the knowledge of the letter "a". You may create a readable piece of work but it will never be complete. Hope I was clear.

Promote website in social networking site is new things in seo.

 

Ya SMO is there but I would also suggest Link Wheel. This is new and useful.
