hey.. my Indexed pages went down

yesterday it was 77 for my site www.dreamstrikes.com
but, it was only 46 today? why it happned? is there any update going on?
anyone experienced this?

Don't worry....for few months this thing is normal at google.

I saw sites with 1.000.000 pages in a day, 4-500.000 next day and 1.000.000 again.

 

I lost a few pages today too.. however i noticed a high decrease in traffic.. Yesterday I had 180 visitors for one of my sites and now, a total of 7 visitors today.. that's not normal..

 

yes!! i have noticed that too. my online list came down to 4 from over 40 all the time

Ya its not a new thing it often happens with new sites, but the best I think to avoid this de-indexing is to generate lots of quality links to your site which gurantees you that you would be never de-indexed.

My website has hundreds of quality links thats it was never de-indexed.

 

In this case MSN and Yahoo work much better, within a day or two after launching.... pages get indexed, why dont more and more people use MSN

 

IMO Google is THE search engine if you are a webmaster. If I am ranked 3rd on google for a keyword, I get more hits for that keyword than if I am ranked #1 on yahoo or MSN.

I have been seeing the number of pages indexed from my sites changing drastically for the past few months. From a few thousand pages to less than 500... so stopped checking !!

 

Its because quality MSN might be fast and improved than Google but lacks in quality.

 

And another point is that msn can be easily manipulated but you have to work hard to rank higher in google.

 

Ya I agree and its hard to rank in Google than in MSN because Google likes more quality.

 

MSN has always been the King when it comes to indexing new sites, beleive me but in my case i got indexed in MSN for my new Directory the very second day of launch and Yahoo made a 2 more days delay in doing that, and i see my most backlinks appearing in MSN very fast than on yahoo!!! BUT Google rules when it comes to Webmastering so its useless

 

Well it might be king in indexing but what about quality quality is always with Google.

 

my site results goes between 900 to 10,000 throughout the month! is that due to copies of the same press release throughout the net? i did a press release a couple of months ago and submitted the same one to 100+ directories. This raised my results to over 20,000! Since then it's gone down. Sometimes it shows just 900, at other times shows 9,900+.

It happens even to old sites
Actually in the last 5 months I lost any enthusiasm to track my sites situation with Google, they are obviously trying to give all webmasters hard time, I am just waiting some balance in the SE market
