The soldiers had paintball guns but were brutally attacked by the activists and had to pull out pistols.

@IDF Guys on DP..... You surrounds ships in international waters (Not Palestine or Israel territory) , you block all the transmission so that world can't get the inside news..open fire on people with so called sticks and iron bars, and then you say that they were terrorists..

Now just to clarify..there was a holocaust survivor (don't know how many infractions i'd have got for calling him a terrorist) , noble peace prize winner, some parliamentarians of Germany, journalists , human right workers, and females with kids on the ships.

last night during the news a journalist from flotilla reported that they would enter the gaza waters during day light so that whole world may watch whats happening..but IDF guys were quick enough to violate international laws and kill humanitarians in international waters.

All those were on the 5 other ships. The ship where the fighting was going on was manned by hard cord terrorists and terrorist supporters.

 

Wow, quite a thread lol definitely a fun read. I'm going to try to give you guys the objective opinion here because I am not for either side. At the end of the day it seems that the Israelies were in the right. They were attacked and had to do what was necessary to secure the ship. I'm sure they were aware of the blockade and knew the risk they were running by trying to pass through it.

And please stop the white flag nonsense. If there was even a white flag, well they broke that surrender when they attacked the troops. Thats plain and simple and the way it has worked in pretty much any military confrontation of any kind. Ever. At the same time, it is stated that the Israelies were expecting some resistence, but not heavy. So you go for a paintball gun? That is just bad preparation IMO bring tasers, bean bag guns, something more effective in subduing and forcing the surrender rather than a toy that will not work and force you to go to the lethal weapon.

So to sum up, both sides have some blame to go in this. Israelies should have been more prepared, and the flotillas shouldn't have been there in the first place and followed through on their supposed surrender. Its as simple as that. No terrorism, no upcoming war, just a poorly handled incident for both sides. Good luck for the wounded and the dead I hope they end up wherever they believe they end up when they die.
