well yes are very correct that with the help of various tools and software you can make you work easy and it consumes very less time. But " G" eye can easily recognize a manual submission and automatic one.
Google prefers manual submission and automatic submission can put your site into the sandbox!!!

Most directory submission is a waste of time - very low quality links, from sites with loads of out-bound links, low PR on the page your link appears on, and loads of them, the inner pages don't even get crawled and indexed.
Complete waste of time doing it 'manually' - if you're going to do it, do it 'semi-automated' at least, with a software that pre-fills the field.
The idea that Google can 'tell the difference' - really? How?

Automatic submission is associated with some kind of spam an that's why specialists prefer to do article submission manually. It is more reliable as well - you can control your work while doing it.

Problem with 95% of the automatic software you can find on the web is that its just pure trash. Submitting to the wrong categories, no spinning of descriptions to avoid footprints on the web, no ip support etc. etc.

All these factors make sure you will get a low approval rate in general and a -10 or worse penalty from mr G. if you are lucky enough...

Everything that can be automated has already been exhausted by Viagra spammers. When Google sees your site's link, it recognizes it is placed in "bad neighbourhood", and gives it a low value. It is as simple as that.

Automatic submissions are not good and there is very less chance that your link will be properly submitted ,,,, more over if owner of site changes its categories than your link could be in wrong category which will harm your site.....In manual submissions all links are properly submitted in right category with 100% accuracy ;)

They know since there are less links using that site for submission, and more importantly less spammy sites using it.

Automatic submissions do not bring results. Most softwares show fake success results and those which submit are classified as spam by the directory sites itself or the Search engines. So in short automatic submissions are of ZERO worth and should be avoided at any cost as it harms more than it benefits.

Forget hundreds of directories. Choose some best directories and submit your site. No need of automatic submission. Quality directories are easily countable on finger.

Manual submission can avoid into a spam, search engines can easily detect what an automatic submission. There are lots of software and tools used to lessen our work, it is also good to use those tools because it helps us in submission.

Its funny to see that everybody here is saying that automatic submissions suck have manual submissions in their sigs...

So i truly have to believe that 'manual' submitters charge say $30 for a k, loading up the directory in their browsers, click on the link to fill up the details, type in the details, type in the captcha, make a submission report, checking the mails and confirming the mails for 0.03 per pop?

Lol.. and then saying sure, report within a few days... Ok, lets see here...

It will take at least 4 minutes per submission, 4000 minutes making it 66 hours of work for a $0.45 wage per hour? If you would type in captchas the whole day you would make more.

So nobody has a social life, doesn't sleep or eat... Sure you 'can' do it in a team, but its the same $ pp in the end.

I only see remarks like 'spamming' 'do not bring results' 'SE can see if its automated' etc. etc. BS with my service anyways...

I have bought a few k costumized tool last year for our company who will overrule all your remarks. As i stated already, commercial submitters suck 99% of all the time. But NOBODY can convince me that they submit to 15 dirs a hour for $0.45 period.

I have been long enough in the online biz to know that 99% of all 'manual' submissions are done by crappy tools anyway, with all due respect.

    PS:

Don't come around with 'Were i am from 50 cents a hour is a lot of money'. I know guys indeed who do it manually but they are charging the same amount for 100 submissions instead of a K.

In manual submission, you can check the site's details like whether its cached or not and having page rank. its not available in automated submission. some of site are restricted automated submission. So manual submission is take long to achieve the goal.

Well I got Answer Whitehat and blackhat SEO (Search Engine Optimization) are two different (and normally opposing) views of how to do search engine optimization. Whitehats are those website designers that "play nice" and try to follow all of the search engine guidelines to optimize their site. Blackhats are where website designers use backdoors, cloaking, and other tricks to optimize sites .
