Wow, I just got back from the lake and read this thread for some laughs. Goodman, listen bro, money isn't everything not even close, once you figure this out the way you build your sites will change dramatically, write to inform not to be persuasive. Do I make tons of money on the web.....no of course not or I wouldn't be here. Do I need to make tons of money on the web? No who cares. Would I like to? Yes, of course. Say you see someone climb a tree and grab an apple, but they tell you building a ladder is required for you to get one, are you going to do what they said works or what they are doing?
try submitting to some directories ,theres 800 + on this site but i cant give links so do a g00gle for easysubmit
I have close to 100 sites all has traffic - sales. I only use html / most are only one page sales page sites. The other ones are small business web sites I have designed. I make sure my domain name is related to the site. All I do is about 3 hours of SEO on the sites Hire someone in dp to write a 300 to 400 word keyword article and submit to search enigines. You will find most of the sites on the 1st page of yahoo search. Just sold an ebook on one yesterday. *search natural bee honey in yahoo my site is the 4th site. natural bee honey.com
This is one funny thread. My 2 cents, right keywords, backlinks, blogs, video marketing, twitter and facebook. All can generate massive traffic. If you're still not making money with huge amounts of traffic you're not converting. Meaning you have to tweak your Sales Letter or Product.
Wow. Honestly, you should just quit internet marketing. Thousands of dollars on Adwords without a sale? Yikes.
I'm just trying to help. If I told you I was a restaurateur who had opened 27 previous restaurants and all of them had lost money and closed within a month, what would you tell me to do? I would hope someone would have the sense to tell me I should give up with serving food and try something else.
Your not trying to help, your trying to put people down until they give up....move on to the next person....I will not follow any of your advice. I hope no one else does either.
Now, don't take this the wrong way. But if you spent $1000s of dollars on Adwords without a sale - then you don't know what the hell you are doing. Adwords is about as targeted as it gets IF you set up your campaigns correctly with the right relevant keyword phrases. But there is no way you should have spent that amount of money with ZERO sales. Have you ever heard of "testing"? I mean - it does not take long to realize that your squeeze page or sales letter won't convert. Don't mean to come off like this, but I don't like when this happens to good people like yourself - Google is rich enough - they don't need anymore free cash.
My opinion is google has a license to steal.....there business depends on people that do not know what they are doing and they take advantage of it. I studied different systems, and methods. I follow other programs and ever tried proven campeigns and they bombed..... I just suck at adwords and do not want to waste any more money on it.
I 100% agree. Although I have to admit this thread is loaded with people that are genuinely are trying to help you. Dlm is trying to help you, but she is happy to kick your dignity and belittle you as payment for her services.
Are you serious? The largest companies in the world spend hundreds of thousands of dollars a year with Google - many affiliates spend thousands of dollars a day (and make tens of thousands of dollars per week) thanks to Adwords. Just because you couldn't figure it out sure doesn't mean Google is stealing or doing anything wrong.
Hi Goodman441, ive been in the same position where you are right now, i had around 14 sites at that point. they all had trafic around 3-4 visitors a day at most! I read alot of posts on tis forum and made a few myself to ask questions on how to get out of that mess. i know its very frutrating when you know that you tried everything you know and spend alot of money on services that were supposed to boost your traffic, ive been there. after taking a break for around 6 months and cleared my head, i started all over. not by selling all mysites, but by hiring article writers and creating loads and loads of content, i had my sites redesigned to good looking blogs. because i found out that search engines, especially google, like fresh and UNIQUE content. i saw you talking about PLR and spinned content. but believe me, that stuff does not work! fresh content is really what you need. i updated my blogs 5 times a week with fresh content, and believe it or not, my sites got higher rankings for my keywords, keywords wich i achieved by building links 6 months ago.... wich i believed was lost money on crappy services. my first advice to you is take a break of it. just for a while... and start fresh again with the new energy wich is needed to get back in business
Very good advice, but i cannot really afford to take a break, I need an income.... I appreciate your post.
Sure, if you have hundreds of 1000's of dollars to spend with adwords, even bad campeigns get the traffic because they are paying $$$ per click. Little guys starting out cannot afford to do that. Small guys, unless the ad campeign is super good, are told by google what they have to bid....If i were google, I would be inclined to tell everyone "your ad is no good, bid more to make it better" of course making them money. I am not going to line the pockets of google with my money, when the traffic I get from them does not put any money in my pocket.....that is total BS!
What are you talking about? For future reference, the way you succeed with Adwords is pick targeted keywords, write convincing ads and direct visitors to a quality landing page. You spend $20 or $50 or whatever to test it out, then you look at your stats and see how to optimize your campaign (maybe you remove/edit some keywords, tweak the landing page, etc). Then you make some improvements and do another $20 test. Then you make more changes and test once again. If you do this right, you will start getting conversions and you should be able to make a profitable campaign after spending around $100 or less. How you spend "thousands" of dollars on Adwords without a single sale is beyond me - you clearly didn't do any research ahead of time. You keep getting mad on me, but I'm telling you - if you spent $1000+ with Adwords and didn't make 1 sale, you should seriously consider doing something else. Internet marketing isn't for everyone...and you don't seem to want to do the research ahead of time to be successful.
I see if you have up to 30 is realy a hard work to do. I wonder why you not just create one site and promote it to get traffic first. When you get success on this then move on to other site. This will help you get a nice income instead of just creatin 30 sites without traffic.
There you go again trying to talk me into "getting out of the business" I did exactly what you discribed.....I kept spending and tweaking and spending and tweaking, my money was disappearing and no sales coming in, until it was time to let it go and do something else. Adwords does not work for the little guys!!! IMHO. If it works for you Great! Your the Man!!!! I am in this business to learn and have been for about 5 years, it will buff out!
