Hello guys, mostly the sites that put adsense ( or any ads ) are those sites who offer free services or downloads ( like scripts ) they put those ads to monetize the service they are giving for FREE in return, how do you usually react to such ads ? for me, whenever i get something useful from any site, i give them a click on their ads as a return for what they gave me and usually the ad i clicked is relevant and then i get use of the site that opened too what about you guys do u ignore ads ?
I use adblock, because honestly I know I'm not going to buy anything from any of the sites. I also know that giving them .10-.15 cents is not worth it. Clicking through to the sites without buying anything will just dissuade the advertiser from advertising on that particuliar site, and possibly adsense entirely.
I give a click to any site providing something useful for free, basically freeware and scripts, and close immediately those sites misleading you after researching for info just to find ads.
I said never. I never click on an ad as a "thank you" as that could end adsense. I am not the anti click, I click on ads if they look like something I want, and only when I'm surfing..
Umm.. no. Clicking on the ad to 'support' the site does as much justice to the site itself as it does injustice to the advertiser that's paying money to have people legitimately click through. If the site is realistically there because of Adsense financial support, I'm not going to do something that would cause the advertiser to become dissuaded from advertising and thus cause the very site I'm trying to 'support' to run out of ads. Sure, if something looks interesting while I'm randomly surfing along, I might click on it, but I would never click an ad to "support" the site.
Traffic is what there paying for, a lot of the traffic I generate from paid/non-paid ads stays at the site for a very brief period of time (about 50%) The other 50% stays and actually uses the site. I think it's a general consensus of viewership. By 'giving a click' to support a site, maybe 9/10 you won't be interested in the given content, but one time you will be, and you will make the site money. It's not just 'giving a click' but supporting what adsense is originally designed to do and that is to create traffic. If the advertiser was interested in CPA, they would go to CPA. I personally don't 'give a click' to support the site, they should have CPM for viewers that don't 'give a click' diversify people.
Firstly, you aren't giving anything to anybody - you're taking money out of the pockets of AdWords advertisers and handing that money over to the website owner. Secondly, if you're wandering around the internet clicking ads by way of leaving a tip, then they are useless, non-converting clicks which don't convert for the advertiser, and therefore, far from doing the website owner a favour you are instead punishing them because smartpricing will soon hit their account. Gee, I bet they're all so grateful that you wandered by and clicked on their ads. Thirdly, don't you ever read the "I've been banned for invalid clicks but I didn't do anything wrong" threads which litter this forum? Your IP address and G. cookies are associated with your AdSense publisher account, yes? Well guess what - they're also associated with hundreds (thousands?) of worthless, non-converting clicks on sites where you have so 'generously' left tips. So when the e-mail from Google arrives in your inbox telling you that you've been banned for invalid clicks associated with your account - well at least now you will know what they are referring to, and you won't have to come here pleading your innocence and telling us you've never clicked on your own ads - you didn't need to, because your click activity elsewhere is what will have got you banned. It may not happen that way but I wouldn't bet a penny against it - you're a prime candidate for a ban.
In my case, after clicking on ads to say thanks, I have found many good deals making a win-win situation to both publishers and advertisers. Obviously, one thing is clicking just because and other clicking when the offer is in addition attractive Of course you can always join to the common AdSense publisher whose commitment is never ever click on others ads, but expecting others click on his/hers.
I dont think the common AdSense publisher doesnt click on other ads and then expects other AdSense publishers to click on their own ads. I expect legitimate traffic/visitors/etc to be the people clicking on my site, people who couldn't give a care about 'thanking' me and only want to find out what the advertiser's special offer is - the same terms that I apply when going to any site. I can definitely understand being interested in another interesting site from an adsense ad on a site and going there, who wouldnt But I go there because I'm genuinely interested in what the offer is saying, not because I want to try to donate to the site it's on If I really care enough to thank the site, I'll probably look up their contact email and send them a short "hey, sweet site, thanks alot for putting it up", which will probably go further than giving them a click that could be smartpriced/invalidated, anyways Just my 2 cents
I like your Made for Adsense site in your singature so much, that I think I'll be a generous Adsenser and click bomb your ads. Watch for a future click-bomb!!!! It could be now...in a week..in a month...in a year...
I have picked because using the word generous when talking about click fraud is not something I can agree on.
Something else I forgot to mention is this: you don't know whose site you are clicking on. What if it's some real MFA lunatic who's using black hat techniques and all sorts of scams not necessarily on that site, but elsewhere - perhaps even including an illegal click-ring ('illegal' as far as the G. ToS are concerned). Now what if Google are in the process of banning him - what checks do you think they'll run? Yes, that's right, they're going to take a real close look at the clicks which have been coming in from that site to see if any other AdSensers are involved, and guess what? Yes, right again - YOU are on the list. God, I can't believe how stupid and how reckless some people are. It's depressing, it really bloody is. I give up. I don't know why I even waste my breath because people will still do it anyway, and then coming running here, bleating "Oh please help - please help me I've been banned but I did nothing wrong". Yeah, right.
Guys why the flame ? !!!! you all got me wrong cuz you were ready to shoot !!!! what i meant was that there are ppl who are anti ad clicking because they HATE the fact that someone might get a penny in his pocket by that click so they don't click even if they need to check that Ad i was asking if you are "Generous" and don't have that "Envey" towards people ( site owners ) and BTW, if i needed a MFA, i could have done 10000s of them and full of content - not opening an image host site
clickin' on ads "for support" is retarted. i've clicked em, but only cos i was actually interested in the ad. if a site deserves ur "support" so much then it probly receives enuff clicks anyways (cos it'd be popular)
That is click fraud. If you are so keen to give the webmaster a tip, then send him an e-mail and ask if he has a Paypal account. Then send him whatever you think is a suitable tip - $10 - $20 - $50 - it's up to you, but at least it will be YOUR money that you are handing over, instead of stealing from AdWords advertisers.
