Hello. Are you from Bohol? I am from the Philippines too. Born in Leyte but temporarily here in Davao City. I actually just make a comment here because of your username which is Bohol. What is the use of that Cache Plug-in? Just curious...
I've been using W3 Total Cache, it's a combination of Page Caching, Minify, Database Caching & CDN capabilities. I'll highly recommend this plugin if you have very high traffic website. Mashable.com is using the plugin and they are the biggest tech blog in the world.
Yep. I have been using this as well for both single user WP and MU and it works great. My host also suggested it (after the fact) for all of my Wordpress installations.
@TheAdviserMe - I just love that place. I am an expat in your country. Thank you, Juhasan and hmansfield. Is this a free plugin? Did you encounter any error when you installed it in your blogs?
Yes it's a free plug in. A small percentage of people have encountered installation problems, but most seem to be because of their hosting, not the plug in. For best results, consult with your host to insure that you know and have the correct settings....I know for my installation, I had it running, but my host had to make some adjustments on their end to get it 100%.
Thanks hmansfield. I am using both vps and shared hosting accounts from different web hosting companies. There shouldn't be a problem with Hostgator.
I also had en error with super cache, i have tried both wp super cache and w3 total chache, and both gave me an error if i wanted to edit htaccess. So don't be surprised if one day after editing htaccess you got an error.
You can delete the Super Cache plugin directly, read the manual for howto instructions. Good to hear that you are using W3 Total Cache plugin, hopefully you will like it. All the best, cheers!
I use W3 Total Cache on My Blog and it works great I was also told it is used by some of the big sites like Mashable, not sure if that is true or not.
I am not yet sure about it Did you choose to have your blog with www or non www? because if you choose one without www or www, you blog shouldn't appear with the same content, check this: 1. http://chrislowthian.co.uk/wad-manager-1-7-released/1378/#axzz0q2bTXrsl 2. http://www.chrislowthian.co.uk/wad-manager-1-7-released/1378/#axzz0q2bTXrsl Both address can be accessed with or without www. This happened to me too, eventhough i choose www and do redirect in .htaccess, however i used w3 total cache, and after disabling it, it didn't happen. In your case, it can be caused by something else, but mine was caused by cache plugins. And i reckon your URL has #axzz0q2bTXrsl at the end..
WP-Super Cache is too good. Just Configure and forget. Might seem a little complicated first but it works like a charm.
