Do I really need to register my site and put down hours of work to get my website listed high in the minor search engines? Isn't it enough to work on high listings in Google, Yahoo, Ask and Bing?
It will not hurt you to register with the smaller search engines as many of them either can provide some minor amount of traffic, in some cases a backlinks and many times are indexed by bigger engines (depending on their database structure). So, is it worth submitting to them - if you have the time I would say yes. Also, I have a list on my SEO Blog with about 400-500 smaller engines where you can submit automatically to some and manually to others - the link is here - List of Search Engine Submissions Links and Services
actually submiting to minor SE fine but not worth to much(low traffic or almost none). try to submit to 3 big SE especialy google because you will get many benefits (huge traffic)
it will help you add little traffic if you add with minor search engines but high pr websites like altavista ,aol etc
I think no need to register and submit with smalll SE as your site are get indexed in the big Google and yahoo then other minor will get your site indexed too.
