Here is the syntax to check the actual backlinks:
    links:http://www.youwebsite.com/

Other than that you can use yahoo site explorer.
    Hope it helps...

Register your site with Google webmaster tools. There is no other way to know what links Google is counting (and even that takes a while to get updated).
Yahoo site explorer will show up to a 1000 links, tell you if they are more, and it is reasonable to assume that Google is aware of a similar number, but it is a matter of policy that Google do not publish all of a site's backlinks publicly through any links search operator.

    Exaclty! Google Webmaster Tools....

Otherwise, there are a few other sites out there that show what Google sees as a backlink, but those links that are shown are of authority.

Why don't you try Yahoo Site Explorer. It shows most nearest numbers of site backlinks.

Your links are probably nofollow that's why google hasn't counted them, backlinkwatch.com displays 99% of most sites backlinks in one list.

I always seem to find that this never gives accurate results... Whenever i try this it will say something like:

    Results 1 - 10 of about 4,080 - So i click on page 2 then it says:

Results 11 - 20 of about 2,008 - ??? why the huge drop? I always get this with any site i type in.

Slightly confusing, maybe i have my search options messed up in google?! can anyone else relate to this?
