I am getting an ipod for the PDA features. First of all does anyone think this whole idea is good or is there a better solution. I am very forgetfull and so need something to beep at me when it is time to do things. So, I would need a calendar, "todo list"/"project organizer" and a sales contact type of program. What should I get and what should I stay far away from.
The iPod has practically no PDA features. Why not buy a second hand PDA? You'll be able to get something very fancy (by mid 2000s standards) for next to nothing. I just bought a new battery for my (5 year old?) iPAQ, installed Opera Mini, and am getting more use out of it now than I ever have.
I have an iPod and this is my biggest mistake. I also bough it for the PDA features. The worst device I have ever had. I am considering buying a real PDA Palm or HP.
What could possibly make anyone think that an MP3 player would have decent PDA/planner features? The best thing you can do is buy a whiteboard, a yearly planner (stick it on your wall), and a pocket diary. My local printers give away wall planners every year. I couldn't live without 'em.
