My blog is nearly 8 months old, i had enough traffic all these days. But recently i changed the blogger template and i lost all the traffic. Please guide me whether change in blogger template will effect the blogger traffic.

    Thanks

I don't think changing the template should have any effect. Did it change the META data?

No.. there's no any effect if you change your template.. If the traffics are gone it should be the case of meta date as jdhflip said.. or maybe you change your title tag..

Have you only change to new template ? or something else ?

I have notice one difference in old and new designer template, new one template's webpage size is more...

You may have something in old templete like meta description or something else which may not be done in new template..

Have you taken backup of your old template.? if yes tehn check the source code of old and new template , there might be something which you may be missing in new one.

Yes, i have done this and seen the change. Actually few months before, i changed the template of my blog, to make it attractive and trust me, the traffic increased. Though off-page plays an important part in it but yes, template do effect the traffic a bit.

no i dont think that changing a template may affect to your traffic. But pz make sure that if you are using a template with very dull and shady look, people may soon close it before it gets open

    Hey Mate,

Blogger template can't effect to your website traffic but it makes your website more search engine friendly.

I agree, I don't see a template change effecting it unless its a really slow loading one as Google have started taking speed into account as a factor of your rankings.

No, .. changing the template alone won't affect your traffic.. There must be something else that is affecting your traffic.

changing the template will not affect your traffic but if you wish to get a lot of traffic then I suggest to keep your blog contents updated, meaning you need to post unique and new articles for your blog and then submit it to social bookmarking sites.

no changing the template may never affect to your site or blog.,
But in rare cases modification to our Blog or website may lose its traffic and decrease its backlinks too.
Therefore to overcome this you keep optimizing your blog and slowly and gradually within few weeks you will get the same position

Changing the blogger template may change the traffic to a website as some template may be heavy on size ) graphics which affects the load time of the blog. The faster a template loads the more the traffic, its as simple as that. If you have seen traffic drop, just revert back to the old template to check again..

Template must be simple but attractive, Color scheme should also be very simple. but the most important part is use of keywords.

changing template will not affect your traffic unless it's not that attractive and the design is not good for the users.

If your template has slowed down your website loading, it could affect your traffic.
