Is it just me, or do Adsense Links never target keywords? I have a gaming forum and I see links that say "Free PHP Forum, vBulletin Forum". Very rarely do I ever see a content-oriented ad. Is it supposed to be like this?
check your site's keywords, maybe there, somewhere is written what they display. the 2 links you mentioned are very close to each other so that might be because u use vBulletin forum on your site
I've noticed that the url of the site is also important for the ads that google is showing. Maybe you have to put some more text where the ads are showing?
Well, I put the ads on the first post of the topic. I'm using an Invision Power Board forum, so no idea why PhpBB/vBulletin ads keep showing up. <.<
Exclude the forum footer where is the copyrights like "powred by PHPBB ..ect" What I mean by that is blinding the bot from sseing that section . or use section targeting by putting the tags on your forum templates : http://adsense.blogspot.com/2006/01/stay-on-target.html because adword users is using related keywords to what they sell to target more traffic .
I'd have to pay I think $200 to remove the Copyright license to IPB, then Thanks for the link, I'll try it out.
Sorry for double post, but I have a question here. Do ad links give you less revenue than do, say, leaderboard ads? I've noticed that I earn about 0.2 cents less than regular ads do with ad links.
take a screenshot of the footer, cut it and make it a JPG file... then replace the footer with the image...
