The site is new, opened from a few days, I haven't stats on visits or revenue.

The only easy thing will be getting in trouble.

 

What do you mean?

 

People won't receive 12 USD per 1000 downloads.

You will need to manage the paypal payments manually. There will be increasing hosting costs, you don't know who did the script and when flaws are spotted you'll have a lot of expenses finding someone to correct them for you.

If illegal files are hosted, you can receive a DCMA complaint that will force your hosting providers to close down the site without warning.

In case of DDoS, you'll be in trouble to discover which file is being targeted.

You will need to constantly monitor if things are going smoothly, if you hire someone for this job you will need to pay him.

Since you're sharing the ads revenue, your profit margin will always be incredible small.. since you're sharing 12 USD per thousand visitors in some cases - you won't even have profit at all (I have several thousands of unique visitors from US and don't make more than 6 USD per day)

And so forth. Are you still thinking that it is easy? You really ought think twice or try running the service seriously for one or two years to know what I mean.

 

Actually there is a site dedicated to the script here. Plus they coder has been constantly fixing the script so why don't you stop hijacking this guys thread and actually look up your facts before you start saying this and that.

Plus, what are you even doing posting in this thread unless you are actually going to buy the site ? If someone wants to buy the site they should know about how to run it before hand....

@ SuperMar - Did you create the template yourself or did you get someone else to do the integration into the script ??

 

I did more than just looking at the facts, I've written them out in my previous reply.

I was interested in the site and if I'm posting is only because the owner wrote in the same sentence: "Easy to maintain and has lots of potential."

This is a deceiving sentence as "easy" is the direct opposite of "lots of potential" on this case.

The only way for the site to remain easy is having no traffic at all but it won't have potential as it will pretty much remain a dead site.

If it has "lots of potential" then it won't be "easy" for all the reasons aforementioned on my previous reply.

Just because you know who had written the script, doesn't mean the rest of the world is wrong by not knowing the same.

Why don't you go ahead and pick a point where one of my facts is wrong from the perspective of a normal user?
