It seems like directories, blog comments etc aren't very good links. And it's hard to contact enough webmasters to get enough links to rank. How do you guys go about getting quality links?
quality link is link that is very related from your site. It also didn't any issue of link farming or bad impression with google. High pr will do the job greatly but you can also deal with low PR but make sure you have very related nich ^_^
Yes linking to a relevant site gives you a quality backlink but also check if it has no links to bad neighborhood
Not only linking to a relevant site, but commenting on relevant blogs and having your profile link there helps tremendously. Link your inner pages more than worrying about the main page and even set up web 2.0 sites that link to inner pages and then create links to the web 2.0 site. Looks more natural.
All page rank sites are good site, also if you get back links from theme related site are quality links.
yes for good links first you prefer theme and dofollow and PR is not very important, also check that pages where you posting links there shouldn't be any bad links. forum is good resource to get good links so use forum posting
A good link is something that you can benefit from, like it's a dofollow, keyword on the achor text, link juice is pass to it and of course coming from relevant source.
Firstly a relevant site is most important really, then depends on what you want the link for, if you want direct traffic from the link then of course a site that has a high level of traffic that provides a service that comes hand in hand with yours. For instance if you do car insurance then a link from a car sales website would be a good idea. Or if you are looking for an impact on ranking in search engines then high PR, large amount of inbound links, important domain extension such as .gov .edu ect are all important.
Hi Links from relative sites are considered as good links You can also try social bookmarking. Thanks
All very good replies! I have a web consulting site with PR3 if you want to trade as well, just let me know... In any event PLEASE make sure you avoid paid links and link farms, also automated link exchange websites can hurt you if you do not monitor who adds links to your site.
Dont forget there's ways of marketing your website that don't include link building directly but eventually lead to links. If you can get your website known in the local area it's more likely to gain links naturally from happy customers and word of mouth.
WOW everyone seems to know what a good link is, but now I'm more interested in what everyone thinks is a bad backlink...
