Well I created my site. There was 3 of us in a team which is good. We are all crazy forum posters so we put the link in our signatures on different forums. After 2-3weeks, we made around 1500+ backlinks. Then i went and made some backlinks on PR 6-9 EDU/GOV domains. For a while, we were in top 10 of the results. But now things have changed. I am no where. Even if I search site:www.mysite.com its not there. Have I been sandboxed and am I banned forever? How can I get out of the sandbox? I've been making content around twice a day. What is up guys. I am scared
I would say , always try to make increase in links look organically. 1500 backlinks in a few weeks is too much too fast for a new site. You can try to get back by updating your site a lot. Test this for 2 months and if there's no movement, upload the site to another domain and make the increase in links look organic this time.
That many links can definitely get you banned if you get them in a very short time because the bots think you are an automated service and not real people. The best number is about 50 links per day.
If your website doesn’t rank for your domain name your site is likely to be penalised, if so you will need to submit a reconsideration request. Thanks Brian
Hi there If you type your site name in and it dont appear theres a good chance you are penalised as bryan said, do any of your pages appear ? and do you rank for any keywords anywhere ? I would be tempted to find out whats gone wrong before you submit a reconsideration ! Woc
Or perhaps it is the keyword density that is a problem. What is the problem if the site is lacking text for content? Can this also have a negative effect? What about repetitive content.
Maybe he stopped making backlinks for a few days and his site dropped down because of that. He said he submitted some more links and he's back up now. I guess it's a daily thing you have to do,...
The Google Dance is an eccentric one... it's fairly common to have your sites bounce around like that - but it is odd that it wouldn't even come up for the domain. Glad to hear it's all set now!
Happened to me as well a few times. In some cases for no apparent reason. In other cases I think certain text patterns may have been a problem. One side I'm having www.plantmachineryequipment.co.za doesn't get hits at the moment via google on most important key phrases. It only ranks high with "plant machinery equipment" i.e. it's domain name. It take the guess that this is because the text is to repetetive, since I haven't added meat/content on many pages.
Google dance is an old concept. What age do you live in. It is definitely due to sandbox as your site might have been spammed and given a Google Slap. To get out you must first make your site "no index, no follow" and then you should update your site regularly.. After sometime make your site back to "do follow". Avoid Black hat SEO Techniques.
Can I said that post a lot of article will help to get out from sandbox?? How many articles did you post per day? and also how long? Please advise
What are the limits there. I keep on hearing to many links per day are bad. But is that for certain? My personal strategy is to place only a few links per day for a site. Just that I do different sites and blogs and this of course adds up to some labor was well.
Based on what you stated, you'll get sandboxed by Google because what you did was not natural in Google's eyes.
