    The only hope from me to IE9 is - Security Loopholes issues had been fixed already.

    IE 6 was a really bad but IE 7 was the worse to be worst and IE 8 is somewhat better, so I hope IE 9 just to better than IE 8 is enough.

    The second version continues to show the gaping holes in IE that Microsoft still hasn't closed up or ignored altogether.

    I've been pretty impressed with the IE 9 preview. I think Microsoft might finally be getting back on track with their browser. It renders quickly, and it has very few display problems compared to most of their older browsers. If it's also secure, I think it might be a big hit.

    @etali,
    Don't be fooled. They're only showing you what they perform well at and not what they don't perform well at. It ignores many of the elements all other browsers had years ago, performs poorly, won't render canvas, javascript performance is poor, DOM support is poor, and on and on.

    IE9 will continue the legacy of the worst browser on the planet.

    Internet Explorer has stepped it's game up nicely recently though. Firefox did have an enormous advantage but I've noticed the latest I.E. browser is fast and smooth, though it lacks the great addons on FireFox it's a great addition.

    Working "fast and smooth" is no indication of how good a browser is. Especially one as bad as IE9 is which is missing whole sections of current standards implementations in SVG, no canvas support, little improvement in its already shoddy DOM and javascript support. Though Microsoft brags about javascript speed increases in IE9 compared to Firefox 3.6(!), it's about 30% slower and FF will introduce a much faster js engine in the next few months. Even then, IE9s engine pales next to Chrome's, Safari's and Opera's.

    What's worse is IE9 won't be out for at least a year! And other browsers won't be standing still. Microsoft is aiming to make IE9 as good as today's browser but today's browser will be at least two years more advanced than that when IE9 comes out.

    IE9....the worst browser on the planet....today!

    Even if it does manage to show improvement.... the legacy of bad reputation is tough to wash off! It will probably take lot many years to win back people's confidence and trust!

    Seen the preview lately... And I must say they've tried to put up an impressive show, but we all know microsoft, the product is surely going to have those giant loopholes.... Do they even check these forums out??
    Because as far as I've known, I've seen people curse IE and still microsoft releases the same product in a different package year after year. Guess FF's got the market upto yet another version.... :p

    If you paid attention, you'd notice it will not.
