Namecheap because it's so easy to transfer domains.

Namecheap, not too pricey and quite reliable.

godaddy was my first registrar, but they ended up being really crappy.
Not only do they have too much annoying crap on their site, they also wont let you pay via paypal without having a merchant account or whatever on paypal that requires a credit card. If i had one or wanted to use a credit card, i wouldn't even go through paypal.

Namecheap is great because its easy to buy domains, you dont have to click no thanks on alot of stuff and there isn't alot of crap posted everywhere, plus it works with basic paypal accounts :D

    Namecheap!

I use both, but voted Godaddy since I seem to use them more often. If "both are fine with me" was an option, I probably would have chosen that.

Even though Godaddy reminds me of a used car sales man, they are pretty good if you use for domain registration only. Very good customer support. You can actually talk to a human, which is rare. But when you register, they put zillion things at your face.

The "for domain registration only" is the key with GoDaddy. I actually had a different experience with their customer service though. When I hosted with them briefly a while back, the guy I talked to flat out admitted that GoDaddy wouldn't whitelist a company I was using for my mailing lists (meaning my own site writers couldn't get my newsletters at the time) simply because it was a competition issue, b/c Godaddy was looking into adding a competing service. Now I don't know what kind of bs that is, but I left them immediately.

For registrations though, I've never found a company that can get it done faster unfortunately.

I guess calling them "namecheap" is what turns me off to them. I've got a little over 30 domains right now, and just let another group go b/c I wasn't finding time to use them. I've never once paid $8.88 to register, or renew, a domain, and I've used a few different registrars. I just can't see a reason to switch when I know Godaddy does things practically instantly for me, and they're cheaper... whether I like their setup or not, just doesn't make a lick of sense to switch.

I use the $2 off coupon on godaddy so domains come out to be $7.20, after the 25 cents tax ... cheaper than they would be with namecheap with the coupon

Which coupon code do you use? I always just use "saveten", which comes to $1.50 off of an order of 3 domain registrations... sounds like you've got a better one. :) I always just order the $4.99 online storage folder so the domain is $1.99 (so around $7 each, then subtracting the code from the whole order at the end, and I always order in 3s or more to get the free private registration).
