Facebook is the best and the effective way to drag traffic.
You may simply make some Blog updates for the uploaded,uniquie contents.
Try to create a group for your specific theme ora group too.( using some like and recommendations logo)

 

You could also advertise on myspace, facebook, and twitter

 

yeah i totally agree to your point looking 4vps that we can advertise on my space, facebook, and twitter.
BUt the thread starter in this post never asked for the place, where to adversities.
He particularly mentioned for facebook and no advertisements only promotion as advertisements are the part of SEM

 

You should try to integrate your blog with facebook. If you have a login for your blog, maybe you can add the Connect ability much like many mainstream forums have. This allows for less barrier to entry, which means more comments, which means they show up in peoples stream, which means more fans/likes.

 

This is depending the niche of your site. The best traffic that make conversions come from Search engines

 

You can create a fan page and add posts on a regular basis. If you have a huge number of fans, that would definitely help.
