I agree on that. He did it for peace sake and said that he hopes that the educated people will understand the meaning of his speech.
Fire attack on two churches in west jordan. Isn't it time to get a bit more tough with these animals?
As long as there are disoriented Westerners defending their right to commit acts of terror, it will be very tough to be efficient. Otherwise, a lot more could be accomplished with a lot less bloodshed. They think we are playing around, and believe that the West is going to change when Bush leaves office. I don't think Muslims have ever taken the West and its policies seriously.
They have no respect. Why shall we host them? Yo-yo and friends can go with them. Enough is enough. they stink and not just a few. Piss off muslims.
"But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you"
I did not see anywhere he apologized. I see he said he was "upset" that ignorant muslims around the world took offense to his statement of fact.
It means to turn a blind eye to the problem, ie., turn the other cheek and walk away. We see where that got the Catholic Church when it came to bad priests. Personally I hated the idea of a German Pope. His Nazi ties bothered me, and being Italian with a little German mixed in, I was a bit biased. I wanted to see an Italian Pope. I changed my mind after he made his statements. It looked for a moment as if this Pope had a pair of balls. I almost got motivated enough to go back to Church. I hope the Catholic doctrine sticks to the words he uttered. Maybe then more people will slide back into reality and see this ugly twisted version of Islam for what it really is.
It means they set the limits for us and won't be satisfied until the Western world complies with all of their crazy ideas.
Ok, for that When a Christian follows Jesus teachings he/she is above the law, but that doesn't mean that Christians are without law. Now what laws (or better lawlessness) are muslim following. They follow a murder with love and affection. I think it is our obligation to stop them. Also for their good and not only ours. they must make a choice where to go. They know exactly what they are doing and what they want. No excuses to accepted.
the musliom brotherhood wants a personal apology from the pope. Most of the critics didn't even read the speech to understand the content, like this turkish turk Ali Bardakoglu
the pope shouldnt apologise to these scum bags. The muslims are not making a whole fiasco over it. Muhammeds been a naughty boy and islam wont accept.
the problem here is the generalization shown on other posts, we should bare in mind that these islamic fanatic wackos are not the same of the normal everyday muslims, the average educated muslim is not a murder monster who is hunger for war, (s)he is someone who wants peace and live his life just like everybody else, the average educated muslims are people with their own dreams, aspirations, joys, sorrows, families, a house, a business , a job, studies, kids. the kind of thought "lets kill all these muslim animals" seems to ignore all that and its just wrong, and showing more hate to hate is not helpful at all as it will only result in more hate being generated. Those ppl that are making protests now are not helping at all the image of islam at all, but what the media seems to fail to mention is that those ppl are usually uneducated ppl in villages who actually dont really know what they are doing. in the meanwhile you also have "educated" fanatics such as from the al azhar university, who say the most incredible silly or stupidest things. For the record, im not muslim, but i do have respect for all religions (and ppl), and i hate these fanatic wackos too, but i do try not to confuse the true (or "normal) muslim with these wackos, unfortuntaly fanatism and intolerance always existed in some small minority in all religions in one form or another, mutual respect and understanding is the answer, not mutual hate, IMHO.
Thats your culture, don't respect others. I have lots of things to say but you know my faith don't allow me to vituperate Prophets (PBUH) and Allah's Religions. I request you read about Islam, their Prophet (PBUH) from neutal sources. Don't read muslim writer because you won't believe it and also don't read biased material too that won't help either. Go for neutal sources I know many westener has researched. If you really want to understand what Islam is you might go for it but it seems you have decided to follow ignorants. I don't claim any thing just read it by your self and judge. Don't go for bursting others, enlight your self and you will know what Islam is?
He just said "muhammeds been a naughty boy and islam wont accept." And he's right, muhammed was married to a 9 years old girl, did he?
I think the bigger problem here is that muslims do not like to hear the truth about Mohammad. He was not a prophet. Oh there was a Mohammad, and he founded Mohammedanism. He was an epileptic lunactic. Throughout history religious leaders have lent their opinion of Mohammad. Luther called him the devil, or first born son of satin. Mohammad was crazed member of a waring tribe in Arabia. Not unlike the waring tribes you find today in the Middle East, only they go by different names. In the end their goals are all the same. KILL, KILL, KILL. Or die trying. Mohammad, and eventually Islam's hatred of Jews was born out of Mohammad's inability to get them to submit. Once he realized that he would not get them to, his hatred of Jews grew even more. He was an evil, sick, twisted little palsy. Anything but a true prophet.
I am today shocked that a nun was shot and killed in what is suspected to be a reprisal by a African Muslim in response to the popes speech this was reported on skynews. It is just unbelievable that the minority of the Islamic community expects everyone to leave Islam alone and never open into debate well the reality is everyone does not believe in Islam at the same time the minority of Islamic fundamentals are protesting about the speech they are killing Jews, Christians and other Muslims now isn't that what they call double standards. I am thinking the time is ready for a serious duologue with the international community in some sort of multi religious congregation on non bias soil to discuss the problems within the different religions other wise the divisions will grow. I know here in the UK the divisions are already growing and the main reason for this i believe is the non Islam believers are feeling more and more silenced against Islam to prevent the scenes we saw over the danish cartoons and now the popes messages. I think my main point is that everyone even the pope has there individual right to question different religions as some Islamic nations and leaders question the existence of the Jewish land, Christianity also has the right to question the violence and other aspects of Islam because scenes we have recently saw with the danish cartoons and again with the popes message we saw Islam and violence together again. I am an atheist therefore believe in my own being and no religion can depict how and in what way to live so i like to think i can be non bias in my assessment of this situation but i cannot help to feel that the minority of the Islamic community is growing to more of a majority who feel anger and hate against the west and the Jewish and Christian community's. I know this was long but i had allot to say i would like anyone who managed to read all this to respect my opinions and i was worried about writing this as i did not want to receive any backlash against what i wrote i hope my opinions can be respected with the context they are written.
