Hi, 18 days ago I opened up http://gfxforums.net So far, it has been a great success. With my hard work and dedication, we will become the #1 graphics design community on the web, I'll make sure of that. The theme is custom made by me. It is running MyBB as a forum software with lots of plugins & modifications implemented. I have lots of competitions for cash, so it's a fun and profitable place to be. Custom image hosting scripts and galleries will also be added in time too. Here are the current board statistics, Our members have made a total of 7,768 posts in 874 threads. We currently have 384 members registered. The most users online at one time was 573 on 05-05-2010 at 03:05 AM Again, that's in just 18 days. Mate, if it's true in 18 days, you've done a excellent job. The theme to me though, is a bit to "red" it's very bright. Other then that, great job, you've got a real good niche there Jay. Mojachie.
I think youve done a good job. I saw theres already a ton of threads and posts for that short span. I like the simplicity of the design and its also nice to see those big social media buttons. What i dont like though is how the footer is designed.

I could never get past the RED. Red signals "warning", "stop", "danger". It didn't permit me to relax, scan and enjoy. I just had to jump off. This is a well established usability issue. Maybe if you toned it down a little, or just changed it. When I compare how easy it is to be involved here at DP vs. yours its a no-brainer. You lose.
It's a very nice looking site, but I agree that the red is too bright - I can't feel comfortable enough to want to stick around... tone it down a bit and I think you'll have a sure winner.
Thank you. It's been 1 month since the opening now, here are the updated statistics. Our members have made a total of 10,384 posts in 1,171 threads. We currently have 531 members registered. Good for a month? A few have said this now.. I think I'll change the red buttons to grey, and tone down the intensity of the red I've used everywhere else. Thanks for the suggestion.
