Is there any justification for the ensuing calamity caused by an already dysfunctional business (Alaska) as BP. The few insidious beings causing such devastation should have no where on this planet to rest. Have the politicians responded sufficiently? An endless nightmare - any thoughts to the outcome?
I think they should have had a backup plan otherwise they should have never attempted to drill for the oil
http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=396366442281&ref=mf But remember: The most dangerous part is that this will be used to introduce "green laws". Obama to use religion to Spread ClimateGate Laws
The Green Laws already exist but for the irresponsible enterprisers that have lost their soles for $$$. Bush - Chaney, Conservatives with their self centered and alienating agendas rather than concerns for overall health and stability are the victors in the ensuing calamity - including their policies that have equally devastated the national economy putting all people at risk for their pitiful philosophies.
LoL. Sooooooooooo late to be pinning things like this on Bush. I appreciate the attempt though. Comic relief really. In case you forgot... http://www.realclearpolitics.com/vi...l_rigs_today_dont_generally_cause_spills.html http://www.democracynow.org/2010/5/...ion_urged_to_reverse_offshore_drilling_stance No, if the culture of corruption in Washington includes bypassing safety standards for offshore rigs, Obama is not only part of it, he is at the center of it. It still won't be his Katrina though. That honor of that title goes to the AZ immigration law.
The liberals began in the 60s to clean up trash, pollution, waterways, civil rights, equal employment etc. etc. - The conservatives, Republicans etc. etc. have fought tooth and nail against all the progressive legislations and are singularly reasonable for the pollution in the Gulf of Mexico. Bush and Chaney are the culprits for both disasters, the Gulf and the economy along with the majority that pitifully follows such narrow philosophies of self indulgence. Simple to deny responsibility and moving to the next event as being the pattern for the majority to date but the events occurring in the Gulf will be difficult for even the most reactionary of individuals to stomach.

they should be working to fix this instead they are more worried about how much money they are losing
I am Republican and I am for throwing trash into the ocean, for pooping in your drinking water, wish we still had slaves, and want my 10 year old daughter forced into hard labor so I don't have to work. Right.... just so you know... we're all for those things you mentioned. The way we accomplish them is where we differ.
Regulating the oil industry - being prepared - protecting the natural resources for everyone etc. etc. The calamity in the gulf just as the economy are functions of prudent gov't oversite - The Republicans / conservatives are nowhere to be found but proselytizing their own self interests as above than a function for a complete and just society.
That oil spill is bad for the economy down there and bad for people as most of them earn a living fishing
And bad because Obama will use this as an excuse to introduce new environment laws. This means more taxes for the people, more profit for large corporations and less freedom for all.
Sound management with enforcement against those seeking profit without responsibility - afterall, how much will this cost (the taxpayers) in so many different ways where adequate supervision would have prevented this blunder. Emperor, you have had your way as it is, it is time for a new majority that truly works to save and give - working for a sustainable future for the planet not exemptions for a few individuals.
Aren't saving and giving opposites of each other? No wonder Democrats are so frustrated all the time. I wonder if they also believe in perpetual motion and the anti-gravity via Buttered Cats
I've been reading many of the latest posts on this forum. It's amazing how some people sound so politically correct, to politically correct if you ask me. We both know what these new laws are for, the environment has nothing to do with it. Create a disaster, people ask for action and you end up getting what you want. If you want a solution tell your government to pass new laws forcing companies like BP to pay for the mess they created. That will be the day.
Once they plug the leak, soon hopefully, everyone will be tuned in on what happens to who and who pays for what - this time I believe the laws and politicians are already there for BP to get their asses blown away.....the sooner the better. Not sure what "political correctness" means - liberals have always been for responsibility / accountability for government.
