Yes, it is official, Google has officially sent a mail to most adsense users regarding the revenue they share with us (adsenser's). Here is the Excerpt: Adsense for Search the share is much lesser: Hope this Helps
This means if you are displaying adsense ads on your website, then you are paid 68% of what google charges adwords advertisers and if you have placed a adsense search box then you are paid 51% of what google charges its advertisers - Of course, only if someone clicks on those ads
but what is its effect ? is google going to increase the share..or this is just for giving information to the publishers.
This has no effect, earlier Google was very secretive about the revenue share and never ever revealed it, everything was a guess work by publishers and industry watchers, but now they have made an official announcement about this whole thing and cleared the air. Of late, Google has put in more transparency to its working, they have included third party advertisers to ad-serving and now this, some changes are happening.
Yes It was all a guess earlier, It is good to know that google has come with this information. Thanks for posting.
so they share 66% for banners/text ads and 51% for search based clicks huh ? thats good rate and nothing to worry about
