I need high PR authority links...ASAP.

Basically for me, I need to get my site back to the top spot for my main keyword in Google or the site will die. It is a forum, and when we moved, we lost the top spot. We have since gained the #3 spot but continue to die. People are just not clicking our link anymore.

I have been told that the only way is to get high PR, authority, RELEVANT links.

i will go to the ends of the earth to get them. Where are they? I spend hours looking...finding nothing.

There are no two ways about it for me. And there is nothing I will not sacrifice to do it.

BTW, if you plan on replying with "PR doesn't matter" don't post.

Forum sig links and stuff I already do. Those aren't high PR, though. I mean pr 5 and up. And no, I don't spam and I never did. I just place my sig in forums that I go to anyway.

Best of luck to your site too.

start blogging like crazy or get someone to do it for you. A few niche high pr links will maybe do the trick depending on pr and competition level.

Pr 7 is the competition. Curiously, it appears to currently be outranked by two very low sites. But those two sites bumped BOTH our sites down so I'm down at 5 now.

Blog like crazy? How do you mean? Like on a high PR blog? I don't happen to know of any that are owned by friends...

It doesn't have to be a blog owned by a friend - if you're an expert in your niche you could do a guest blogging deal with another site pretty easily (at least I assume it would be easy, I'm active in a few niches and guest blogging happens a lot in them). It might be tougher in other niches, but it's certainly worth sending a few emails to the owners of popular blogs in your area.

Get a hold of some free, high PR directories. I do have a list of pr 3 - 7 ones that I am happy to share (free of charge) if you want to throw me a PM.

You do realize its the PR of the page that the link is on that counts? The home page PR is worthless unless the link is on the home page. Almost all directories have PR0 on internal pages, so are worthless.

Go and get some backlinks by way of article marketing! These links are killer! They will get you back to the top, pretty darn quickly.

    Go and get'em!

There's a thread on this forum with a HUGE list of pretty much as many high-PR backlink sources... like... literally HUNDREDS of 5PR and up. Check it: http:// forums [dot] digitalpoint [dot] com/showthread.php?t=1812481

IF you REALLY want to get fixed up, create a link wheel made up of high-pr sites linking back to yours. These are powerful and brand new.

If you are looking for a good service then check out my signature, if not there are countless ways to start getting backlinks that are from authority websites. I would start by looking at where you competition is getting there links from. You can try (http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/) to see there backlinks. Thats the first step, many times they will give you all of the links you need to out rank them. At least its a start.

You do realise that PR is given per page, not per site -- they all may be PR5 and up on the home page, but the page a link is on will be PR0....

Oh, I'm fully aware of that. That is why I feel so disillusioned by all those large lists of high PR site, not a single one has panned out for me, they make it look like you can just stick your link there so easily and bammo, your site is up to the top. In reality, all that I have found are either nofollow, or, quite commonly, your link only goes on pr 0 backpages, which are quite plentiful I should add. I still am grateful for lists of sites to add my link to in a legitimate way that can bring me human traffic {as that is where most of my members are now finding us from!} as they make it a lot easier to put my link on places that accept it rather than having to hunt around. So I am thankful for the list given to me by that person above and accept them anyway.

But I didn't open this thread up to whine about lists of links not being all they're cracked up to be. I opened it to find where I actually CAN get high PR links, in a legit way. I don't think I even need more than a few.

I am sure you don't have other options than taking help from a SEO company.

I don't have the money right now. If that's my absolute only option, I will take out another credit card debt, but before I do that I want to exhaust all other options I have left. Already my unemployment isn't keeping pace with my bills. How do the SEO companies do it? Obviously someone's finding those good links.

    Groovystar,
IMHO, pagerank does matter but not major anymore. I saw many search result that dominated by low PR websites but have very relevant SEO for given keyword.
    My suggestions for your case:
    - If you already did all SEO laborious tasks of link building in any form of free methods, seriously consider to buy your backlinks. I guess few backlinks will do, but of course come from relevant websites that have authority (high PR) in your niche, buy them. Relevant is always best, but if you find difficulty in finding them, general directory that have your niche in their category will do. Example: submit your your website to Yahoo! Directory or other high PR directories that offer cheaper fee for featured position on their high PR home page. Or, make donation to high PR websites that will put your text link as a thanks.
    - If you want to go extreme, ask around for black hat method on how to outrank your competitor. Yes, it's easy to get to number one of SERP using black hat method, why? there's no ethical issue for them.

Well, the point is: you have to make your website's SEO profile (for given keyword) better than your competitors . That's all!
    Good luck,

    Sam

Build more backlinks, then "boost" those backlinks by bookmarking the pages that link to your site.

Wow, thanks for the info!!! I actually didn't realize this. I'm fairly new to SEO and such... just a few months into it. Thanks much bro!

Has anyone tried the LinkWheel method? I've heard it works wonders... the plan looks fairly fool-proof. I have a personal list of about 10 high-pr sites I'll be using to make my link wheels... (not sure about the individual page PR--and that's what's important). Curious about this! :D

    I've got:

    Scribd. ---PR 8
    Wikidot --PR 7
    Issu ------PR 8
    Tumblr --PR 8
    Ning -----PR 8
    Webs ----PR 8
    Weebly --PR 8
    LiveJournal --PR 8
    Squidoo ---PR 8
    Wordpress--PR 9

Again, I don't know if these actually count for individual page rank... It would be GREAT.. but I'm not sure.
