I was thinking about translating a site into different languages, but how well you think the google language tool is? Is it accurate?
It can be used for an illustrate purpose but not mainly to be professional translator purpose anyway. From my own experieced, Google translator does work well with easy and general wording / sentence but not for a specific wording like medical stuff or a long complex sentences.
sometime no translator is accurate, cause every language has different grammar and once you translate them it can change to the other language grammar, it just able to do translate the words
I see a lot of people visiting my site use it but not sure about its accuracy. Based on other translation tools I have seen you might want to hire someone to translate the text.
I agree with whitehuskey, both of them add a ton of crap in your source code. There is another, I've been using it for years and it's good. http://www.freetranslation.com/
I know first languages and sorry to say that i cant really understand what the website writing by using the translation tools. Single word translation is find, but not the phrase. I suggest go for the manual translation if you want to make your site as quality site in multi-languages
Google translator many times doesn't work properly and it jumbles the word. But it is the best online tool.
No personally I dont think its good. I once tried to translate a korean webpage into english and the result is funny. Definitely not good because the result is obviously wrong.
Well google translator is used to understand the approximate meaning but it cannot serve you as a translator which a human can read with a proper grammar , for that purpose you need a human translator
It's an algorithm - it knows how to replace one word for another in a different language, but has no comprehension. For that you need a human translator Use it as a quick guide to get an idea of what something in another language is about, but don't ever consider using it to translate your content and post it online. To prove what I'm saying - take a chunk of text - translate it into another language and then translate it back into English - Now - would a site that looked like that inspire confidence in you,to do business with it? doing it on this post it came back as It is an algorithm - he knows how to substitute one word for another in a different language, but has no understanding. For this you need a translator humanity from Use it as a quick guide to get an idea of something in another language is about, but never considered using it to translate your content and publish it online. To prove what I'm saying - take a piece of text - is translated into another language and then translate it back into English - Now - would be a place that seemed to inspire confidence in you to do business with him?
That's too bad. I hired a English to Spanish Translator and it just took way too long to get done. I figured english to french would be easy for a translator to do but I guess I'll have to hire a proof reader if I decide to do this.
Google translator and Babel fish are good enough just for illustrate purpose. The same happen with most of the online translator. It's not accurate
if u want to translate ur site in other languages u should goto google translate tools and copy the code any paste on ur site it will be translated when people come from other countries
