    Hello people,
Not sure this is the best section to ask, please forgive me if i posted in wrong place.

I wonder how does code affects?
Lets say i sell links on textlinkads and other sites where i must install code on my site.

My question is - does google somehow detects this code and penalizes for selling backlinks by decreasing pagerank?
It is well known that google doesn't really like link traders.
If you place link manually then there is no way to recognise it is sold link.
But when there is code from site like textlinkads and similar, then it is more clear that admin is trading links :)

Please share what you know/think regarding this issue.
    Thank you very much! :)

The quick answer is YES, textlinkads can kill off your pagerank. i had a PR6 gaming site for sometime. I installed textlinkads ( nice money ), but the drawback is that my PR was affected and thus the money went down from textlinkads. It ended up a PR 2 - PR 3. Traffic was not affected ( alexa 25k - 30k ) but I found it difficult to sell links

Thanks Ronmac, for a quick reply.

Then seems like textlinkads doesn't care about sellers at all because there is no option to place ads without code

I have found a little trick for this. Just use some basic PHP scripting to check if Googlebot is the visitor on your site. If yes, then don't display the TLA code. Else, just show it ;)

    Thanks for your responce, Webmasterplace,
Maybe setting up bot to do not crawl certian page would work too?
But anyway, considering this fact that textlinkads code works as a 'malware' for google ranking, i personally won't going to participate, because textlinkads totally sucks then (because they do not give an option to set up link manually without a code)!

Well, you can change that somehow. I've found this in the option before: "Place ads manually" or something similar.

Edited: Yes i think i just found it :) Waiting for a changes to appear and will know for sure then.

Rafderamas, how is that? :) Please, a few more words about that :)
