When I check my stats and check the keywords people have used to visit my site then I can't see it in the search results. Not sure what happened but it seems like they just did a 180 again and my results are gone. Site I have never seen before is in the serps and even scraper sites with my content. WTF!!!!
I believe there is a massive flux of rankings going on. I know one day I am page 3 then the next day 5th then 4th then 3rd then 4th, etc.
This happened about an hour ago or so. I check my stats frequently and I can't see anything coming in from Google when I check peoples keywords and go to the search they have done then I can't see my site in the results anymore.....
Yeah, I know that but from page one to page 245 in one hour? Maybe I am th eonly one this time for some reason? WTF?
Further checking shows that they now have reverted back to old cached pages again.... another bad datapush? Created more bugs again? Maybe Matt C is back f***ing up peoples life again?
Mike I know how you feel. I kinda am in the same boat with you. Although I highly doubt that Matt Cutts wants to destroy your revenue but more like I believe the Google engineers have messed up big time and there not doing anything about it or it's taking a long time to fix this Bad Data Push or Bigdaddy update.
I've always thought that the reason for this was just that google.com does not point to the same datacenter for everyone. My indexing quality varies dramatically depending on the datacenter.
But the result is often almost the same, can vary one page up or down, but when it is all over the datacenters, then it is bad really bad, because then you know something is going on and that ripples through all datacenters; I use McDar to track the variations and now something really bad happened ... AGAIN
I have been see the same here in the uk for the past 3/4 days I am on position 7 then now where , dont panic i leave it a few hours and i am back again, its google way of keeping us regular .........LOL Paul
A few months I was doing SEO for a site that was on page 6 for certain keywords, then I got to page 2, then suddenly a day after that I was almost in the last page. 2 weeks later, it was on page 1. It scared me a lot, losing more than 10 pages doesn´t look good when reporting the results to a client.
I did a search for: puppies for sale in northern virginia and you would think that you would get sites where thay had puppies for sale in northern virginia, right? Here's the result: 1. puppies ok, but not for sale 2. puppies ok, but northern Illinois 3. some software? 4. puppies ok, but in Northern california or west virginia 5. site map page 6. description says "please no posting of animals for sale" 7. french bulldog meetup group with a clearance sale 8. hush puppy (SHOES!) WTF???? http://www.google.com/search?q=puppies+for+sale+in+northern+virginia&hl=en&lr=&rls=RNWI,RNWI:2005-33,RNWI:en&start=0&sa=N
For the past 10 days or so, I've seen at least 3 sets of SERPs across DataCenters and these have been switching 2 or 3 times a day in terms of which ones serve google.com. One of my sites, about 8 months old is out of the sandbox in two sets of SERPs and gives the appearance of popping in and out if the box as different DCs serve results. /tom/
