In a moment of weakness and greed

Earlier this week, in a moment of both weakness (cause I leave these offers alone) and greed (had to get the $100 to my bank account they offered and I got it today), I filled out a damn survey!

And now my backup email account is overrun in offers from every know marketer and company in the world!
Today, not one or two, but 16 (counted 16 different ones!) credit card offers!

As fast as I hit the remove button, more offers show up!

Am thinking I got 100 bucks for this, but going to spend 101 bucks of my time keeping the inbox cleaned and hitting the remove buttons.

Create a Filter for the keywords and that should lessen your load.

i think its not wise to give your main email address for things, I have done this in past and it gets too messy to clean up! so use a different account specially for this thing.

try to check your email account for some terms like "message rules","filters" or other words close to that ... some antivirus also have those spam filters ... depends really on your email client or account

Buy $92.00 worth a booze, a $7.00 cigar, and a .99 cent BIC Lighter. You'll forget it happened. (until the morning arrives)

I have taken gmail account for one of my domain and use my email id for such puprose. Also, gmail has good spam filtering, far better than yahoo.

why use your backup email for the survey... why not create a temporary one and if you get spammed, just delete the email account... ;)

i'd be interested in the $100 survey too! :D

I am on some email list that I make like 1 to 5 pennies for everyone I actually read by going to the site.
Maybe 2-3 of those emails weekly are from this person who takes surveys for companies.
Through this person, I got to take a survey about my lifestyle (I qualified, most I never do as I am retired).
I used a back up email that I rarely use for this.
Now I get to clean it out by unsubscribing to all those emails every day, otherwise that back up would be backed up! :p
