Should I be spinning my articles?

I have hired a great content writer... so now I have some great articles to submit. But should I be spinning them so they are different or is this a waste of time?

Yes, I recommend that you try to make your articles as unique as possible. It increases the number of indexes you can get. However, NEVER use an article spinner, they are junk and spit out poor quality articles. They only replace synonyms and do not change the order or context of the sentence.

    What advertise said.

If you want to do this so Google sees it as a different article, you will be wasting your time, because no software can do this.

How it works with these article spinning sites, like Jet Spinner, as an example, is that you manually select words like, "some," "many" and "several" to replace words like, "those." As in, "those people."

Words like, "the," "some," "many," "those," are all stop words. "Stop words" is a term used when words are not recognized by search engine computers. These have been designed by computer engineers to not recognize such words.

The reason for this is to free up their disk space. There is less info in their computers.

So, all of those spun articles are useless, because they will still be the same in the search engines' eyes.

    More on this: http://searchenginewatch.com/2156061

    http://hubpages.com/hub/Why-Article-Spinning-Is-A-Complete-Waste-Of-Time

What's really fucked up is that there are posters over at Warrior Forum who have "services" for making articles unique, and they use such useless article-spinning sites in which to do this.

Sorry, but it's a well-known term amongst search engines companies.

And what you have shown is different. And what I have posted was an example. ... There is more to it than that.

Articles cannot be spun to the point where Google sees it as unique. It is impossible, in fact.

Achod, for more info, read up on Matt Cutts' blog. He works for the search quality group for Google. His blog: http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/

And if you do decide to do this, ask for examples of spun and original articles so you can see for yourself.

Though I highly doubt that you will be given any examples. For the obvious reason.

    There's your answer.

I'm developing websites and high traffic search sites for the past five years, I know exactly what stop-words are and I assure you that Matt Cutts won't tell you everything about how Google search works but I promise that those are not stop words for Google, they might rank less but they are taken into account... (I've been reading his blog since he started it...)

Perry Rose, That's funny that you edit your posts and totally change them after you see my response, it's not cool and by the way, we are also a registered SEO company inside the US and work on high profile sites, good luck but be careful as to what you suggest to people, unless you know something to be 100% fact, don't suggest it...

It seems, you need to pay more attention out there. ... Period.

And, uh, I put in another link for him, and others, to look at.

    That was it.

    "I'm sorry what?!"

"Also you changed your post" (Yeah, uh, you already said that, son.)

Oh yeah, *chuckles* he pays attention alright.

Oh, lookie, I edited again. lol

    Dumb kids on this board.

For those of you who may be interested in such article spinning sites, or perhaps hiring clowns who have "services for creating unique articles, also ask them to show you the ones that are listed high.

See what kind of a response you get.

Listen to those with more experience and, read up on Matt Cutts, and others like him.

Modern article rewriters don't change only stop word, but every words.
    Also, I can't agree with
NLP (Nature language processing) science still has much to do and achieved result is still very limited. So, If main keywords are changed, I believe that Google can't recognize between ariginal and spun articles.

To OP: Just use original articles on your sites and send spun articles to article directories to gain more back links and visitors.

Try to keep them different for each directory. Easyarticlespinner.net is free to use. Compared to manual rewriting, this is pretty faster.

That's pretty good, Mr. Submit. That would impress someone with no experience, who doesn't know better.

A rewritten article has different words put in that doesn't make a bit of sense, thus making the article useless to readers, and or there isn't enough good words to make it a good article.

Examples to read are below for those of you here with no experience in this.

That tool in that site in your signature remined me of that when I played with it using one of my articles. A 300-word article, not a short statement, like your above example.

It's quite different when it is an article, rather than a short statement.

But...we are talking about original aricles and spun articles that are both ranked high. Sorry if I wasn't clear on that. I do believe that is why he or anyone would be asking about spinning articles.

To rephrase my question to be more clear, can you or any other spinning article site show examples of original and spun articles that are both ranked high?

I like that little tool, though. It doesn't work well, enough, like all the others don't either, but it is pretty fun to play with.

    Original article of mine:

Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Here's the real reason why newspaper sales have dropped like a rock!! Read all about it....

I might be rubbing many here the wrong way (As if that is new with me.), but I do believe I may have a teeny little theory on the real factor on why newspaper sales have gone down so much throughout the past few years.

    Oh, great, another theorist.

Ok, ok, hold on now. Before you walk away shaking your head, hear me out. This just may have you going hmmmmm....

    Then again....

Just before I became a hot-shot (ok, not such a hot shot) freelance writer, I delivered newspapers for around 10 or so years. (Yes, I was one of those carriers who threw your paper in the mud hole after that hard rain last night.)

As a carrier who has heard the scoop, gossip, on the steady decline of the paper plant I delivered for, and from other paper plants around the country, (editors from around the country talk to one another, and it eventually comes down to our ears), I also talk to the people on the street. Taxi drivers, bus drivers, business owners, college students, hotel staff....

By talking to and LISTENING to the people on the street, the real culprit of the decline of newspaper sales seems to be that, well, um, the content for the most part just sucks.

It's the same ol' same 'ol.

I know that the newspaper I delivered was, basically, just a boring, rag of a paper. Poor reporting, most of the news came from Associated Press, no real reporting, not enough good entertainment, same ol' bad news that is repeated over and over and over again on the front page....

It has been like this for years and years.

    Then, came the slooooooow economy.

With so many people cutting corners, they got to thinking: Okay, this paper stinks. It's the same crappy news day in and day out. Why am I even buying this thing?

When they had more money, fine, buy the paper, but with fewer dollars coming in, they cut out stuff they really didn't need. And they really didn't need to read the same ol' stuff, the same ol' bad news, day in and day out.

On their way to work, they would stop off at the corner store to dig deep into their money pocket for a donut, coffee, and a newspaper. They don't have much money in their hand, and then they would look at that newspaper that has the same bad news headline, with so little entertainment, to boot.

All that time before, they really didn't want the paper that bad. Many bought out of habit. Many would let the newspaper office renew their subscription, time after time.

And, now, since money is tight for many folks....

And, when many of them now feel safe to spend more money, they don't renew or even buy a paper at the store.

They are now out of that habit.

You think maybe this is the REAL culprit behind the slumping newspaper sales.

    Maybe???

I had one taxi driver tell me that he gets the paper only for the sports section. He lays the rest down on the floor of his taxi for his customers to put their feet on.

    Ouch!

Has the quality of our newspapers from around the country gotten this bad? And has this recession given us a wake-up call? Why am I even buying this thing?

As one can clearly see, there are not enough good words to use. Typical with article spinning software.

On top of that, if there were a few good words here and there, Google's computers, along with Yahoo and MNS's can easily see that these two are one in the same.

Spinnnig articles is clearly a "waste of time."

On top of that, still, you can rewrite an article, maybe, twice, tops???

The real issue is that Google's algorithms are much more sophisticated and are ever evolving. Google now checks suspicious articles for similarities; i.e. replacing words with synonyms. In fact, the footprint of most spinning software is fairly easy to spot because they generally use synonyms to replace words/phrases. However Google looks layout, word/sentence count/synonymity and where the spun article is linking. If you spin an article multiple times, but these other components remain the same; few of your spun articles will make it past the Google gate-keepers. There is nothing wrong with spinning the articles, you just need to mix things up. For example, instead of replacing words with synonyms, use entirely different words, vary the layout with bullets/numbers, add images where you can, etc.

Quite true, but there are spinning methods which can make an article unique by 50%+. One way is to rewrite sentence-wise, few times, it can cost time and money, but it is worth the effort and money rather than getting all your articles flagged as junk or duplicates. It works because, there is yet a software to be invented which can rewrite the articles sentence-wise as it needs a brain, which it dont have.
