I currently need a mascot (cartoon character) developed for a web template I'm working on. I need this person's face (only) converted into a cartoon character of the mascot you create: A sample preview of the template I'm working on is attached below where I want the mascot (cartoon character) positioned. The mascot should have business casual wear on such as business pants (black), regular button down shirt (you choose the color), a tie (you choose the color), and business shoes (black). A business watch (black/silver) would look nice as well. http://www.robert-smith.net/temp.jpg (Layout Sample with Character Position) Overall, the mascot should tie in well with the rest of the layout, in other words, it should match the rest of the layout. One way to do that is try to pull some colors from the rest of the layout for the clothes. I hope that's enough information, and if not let me know. Here is some sample cartoon characters that I would like the art style for this mascot character to have: Terms and Conditions: - Post all your entries in this thread - The contest can end without any winner (if i don't like any of your contest entries). - The winner (if any) will give me totally full rights of his/her logo/mascot work. - Participants must use no copyrighted graphic/content - Contest will end on April 20, 2010 - The winner (if any) will be paid after he/she will have sent me his/her winning logo/mascot. - Payment with PayPal only. - I am not obliged to declare or not to declare a winner publicly in this thread (but I Know I'll do it) - By participating Contest entrants totally agree and accept all the Terms and Conditions listed in this new thread post.
21'st?? or what?? hehe, sorry for interrupting contest, just want to clear things up .. btw, 21'st is done... it's 22nd already.. P.S. nice entry masjacky
I like what you have done with both the face and clothing, however, my sample layout has very little red in it so it's hard to say how well the red shirt from the mascot will blend in, so if possible, can you make that shirt the same similar blue as on the sample template? I think that will make the mascot flow well with the rest of the theme. Also, if you could test actually copying the character to the sample template to see how well it looks with the theme, that will help also instead of just seeing the character alone. As that's what I'm doing at the moment, but it's a bit hard to do with your copyright text on it and the sketch in the background of the mascot.
This looks alright, but I'm kinda leaning more toward what masjacky produced. His version of the face closely resembles the original person as well. I would also give the same suggestion to the shirt color since there is no "purple" in my sample template. The shoes would also need to be fully black instead of orange (or brown) on the bottom. Overall it's still a great design, better than what I could ever come up with, but as far as what I'm looking for for this particular template, masjacky seems to be on the right track, so I'd look at his and try to go from there if you still want to re-enter
