It does get visitors, but those visitors aren't clicking ads :)

Then maybe it is just bad ad optimizing? To get good CTR you have to place the ads in the best places you can find without breaking adsense ToS

I told you PayPal does not protect buyers. You escalated the case and by escalating the case it was closed probably within a few seconds of you escalating because they do not cover intangible goods.

For all of those who think PayPal will refund or make exceptions they will not. Regardless of it being a scam! I been down the road many times...

You were lucky and/or smart and the money came out from your credit card attached to the account. You should get your money back if you do a chargeback because paypal will not eat the loss so they will charge the seller. You almost always win when talking to your credit card company.

Basically if your buying anything online use your credit card as the funding source. I tell people this yet when I think something is not a scam and use my paypal balance I always get no product or illegal product.

I think there's nothing about scam but the ads are not optimized properly. Try optimize them.

Begin a dispute through Paypal. I think you may struggle to get your money back.

I bought the site and it was supposed to already be optimized. It isn't making what it was advertised to make out of the box. That was the point of the price tag, it was supposed to make a lot of money out of the box!

One day - 3 days even - is not sufficient time to judge the performance of a site. Maybe it's a niche that makes most of it's money at the weekend. And what is it's main source of traffic? Has the change of ownership done anything to affect that? Did you ask how the previous owner was driving traffic?

    Hey mate,
sorry to hear that. I freaking hate scammers... What was his username over here?
Follow these steps to get your money back:
    1. Call your bank
    2. Request a chargeback

Your bank will charge paypal and WILL return you your money. Only drawback: PayPal will be pissed as hell and will most probably close your account. If you don't mind, go ahead and do this. PayPal is shite anyhow. Do not use it for any substantial transactions.
    Cheers,
and I hope this helps you.

It depends on the type of site.

I can make £10-£20 on one of my Google news syndication site. All I have to do is make some popular posts. If I don’t post I don’t make anything.

Maybe you need to do something?

    Thanks Brian

No, the site was supposed to be making the money just sitting there.
Digitalpoint gave me an infraction for naming him. Figures huh? They said all I can do is give him negative iTrader.

w0000 he just scammed me for $600 and i can give him negative rep? That sounds real fair.

I feel your pain mate... Sounds pretty terrible.
Well, all you can do right now is call up your bank (if you paid through your bank when using paypal) and demand a charge back.
Once again, your paypal account will probably be locked since it's against their TOS, but mate, you can always open up a new one.
At least you'll get your money back this way.

    Cheers mate,
    all the best to you.

P.S. Don't use paypal for your next transaction, stick to escrow or similar services. Paypal where the blackest hat of them all...

A good point is made here. A lot of the time people don't realize that the Google spiders know all and the server change will have an impact on SEO traffic. I'm not trying to stick up for the seller here. It’s just when I sell a website I offer free web hosting on the original server for an agreed upon period of time so that this doesn't happen. There are a lot of intricacies that go along with the Internet.

Negative feedback won't get you your money back. AFAIK, Even opening a dispute in Paypal will not help you. Only thing you can do now is work on the site and make more money out of it.

You surely have been screwed. Next time, make sure to get access to analytics prior to purchasing.
