Hey guys, I've recently joined DP since I have seen many masterminds helping newbies earning money online. Yet somehow, I am one of these newbies seeking help.

Let me put out the scene for you. I am nearly touching the age 20, I used to work on RAC but somehow stepped back since It was just so annoying or getting out of my skills. I have alots knowledge about almost anything which is related to IT but I fail to earn something from it everytime.

I am able to use the internet almost 12hours daily, but at the end of day I am just browsing and doing nothing but wasting time. I want to earn something from the Internet, It has been like years of me using this machine with the Internet but only managed to earn few bucks from it.

All I need is the proper guideline to earn some handsome amount. YES, I am willing to give it the required time as long it requires.

It would be a great gesture of you guys, If you just guide me on doing some earnings.

Find a topic you are interested in, make a website around it, and figure out the monetization afterward. You have to genuinely like what you do. Your website should be a reflection of this. Once you have a loyal audience then you can start making money with it.

Or if you want to go the ecommerce route, find a product you are familiar with and open up an online store.

Find something that you enjoy and see if there is a market within the niche that you can sell stuff to, if you cannot come up with anything go and check out clickbank and find a product that you can sell as an affiliate. Once you have made some sales you will want to look at creating your own product.

Find a product and sell it via a website. Affiliate marketing can produce good amounts of money but you have thousands of people trying to promote the same stuff. Some of my most successful friends have goods or services that they sell themselves.

I also have this blog on wordpress IMsniper(dot)wordpress.com which I had made last year and then lost the track towards it. I am confused on making a new independent blog or a wordpress/blogger blog and start from new. I actually dont like the name IMsniper "I know, I was the one who made it although" but would names effect?

I have some posts which brings along 10 to 15 visitors daily on that blog.

First thing you should do is get a shared hosting account and your own domain.

Wordpress is great but having a site on wordpress.com or blogger.com is amateur.

    Hey,

Your own domain is great, but having a free one doesn't mean you will not do good. Look here - http://strobist.blogspot.com - millions of pageviews each month - only because of unique content, good marketing and well, own way of presenting things. I also have a blogspot blog that will slowly bring around 100$ from Adsense + Amazon every month (been into it for 6 months) and am always working.

Promoting your website today isn't really that hard if you have good content.
    1. Post your articles to Digg, Facebook, StumbleUpon etc. - if you're lucky this can bring a lot of traffic
    2. Create a YouTube account if you can, it brings many visitors and these are good ones with low bounce rate
    3. eZine Articles - submit your article there, you'll get good links to your website from a respected site and you will also get traffic from people reading that post on Ezine.
    4. If you help, explain stuff to people on your blog, then register at YahooAnswer - I get around 50 visitors daily from there and many buy stuff (including 500$+ products).

Blogger.com amateur or not, if you're smart you can make it.

Thanks Tarum that was really encouraging.
Im trying "Clickbank" now. Can you help me understanding that sticking to 1 product and explaining it would work or I go for others aswell. And, please can you also suggest me a good category to work on?

    Thanks

    Hey,

Think of all the good stuff you're good at and that would attract visitors and help them or entertain them. Then think about the stuff you could write if you chose that.

I'm not good with Clickbank, the only Aff. program I use is Amazon. Everyone knows it, it's easy and can pay off if you now how to use it properly. I've earned 250$ from it and you get 4% from each product that you sell, then you can also increase it if you sell more and more (resets at the beginning of a new month) (stays at 4% for electronics all the time).

Last, check out sites that do the same you will want to do. What's missing, what could you offer etc.

There are many ways to earn online. There is no one 'correct' way in this business.

What may work for one, may not work for the other.

Affiliate marketing is good. I follow that model. So I can personally talk about that only.

You could go to clickbank marketplace (http://www.clickbank.com/marketplace.htm) and search for products that are in your niche/are related to your website (weight loss, weight gain, Internet Marketing etc) and then sign up with clickbank and get an affiliate link for the product you select.

You don't need to sign up with clickbank until you want to get the affiliate link. Once you like a product (you can arrange results in different orders: popularity/keyword relevance/highest commission etc) sign up for free with clickbank and click on 'promote' for the product and viola! you get a affiliate link!

You don't need to worry about payment issues, tracking, dealing directly with the vendors etc as clickbank handles everything.

Many vendors provide affiliate tools (which can be checked by going to the 'pitch' page of the vendor/product through clickbank), which you can use to promote the product (like ads, banners, email messages, articles etc)

So for example you could put a banner of the affiliate product on your website (which you will make, related to your niche), and drive traffic to your website. When someone clicks on the banner and buys the product, you would get anywhere between 50-75% commission, depending on the vendor.

Another option is a one page website, in which you put a opt-in form to get your visitors email addresses. Why would they give you their email addresses? because you would provide them a FREE gift (like a free eBook that you make in relation to your niche), in return of their email address.

What will you do with their email addresses? You will provide further value, like a weekly newsletter, and then you introduce related products to sell (your affiliate product).

You can send them a sales message with your affiliate link. You can also put your affiliate links in the newsletter. This is VERY powerful, as you have build a relationship with your list. They trust you. Sales are sure to follow!

Does this take more work? Yes! But which business does not take work? And this method is way powerful than other methods.

    Hope this helps!

    Kindest,
    Nabeel.

I guess you should check out both. See the products on offer. See/Check which site has the product that you would like to promote. Decide whether you think you can promote them. Look at the complexity of both websites. Look at the commissions. Look at the payment options/mehtods. Look at the rules/TOS. I cannot say anything about amazon as I have not used it. I have been using clickbank only.

1 thing which is still confusing.

Lets suppose, I write up an article about a product I want to promote. I write it once, submit it to all the directories. What NEXT? Do I write another article about that product and get into the cycle again ?

Good answer. I have never used Yahoo answers. Could you explain how do we get traffic if we provide answers to people?

There are MANY things that you can do in order to make some money online. You should first think about the skills you possess. Then establish a goal and how your skills match your goals. Read up and educate yourself a little bit about the different ways to make money. BUT once you start learning, you need to ACT and implement what you have learned in your own way. MOST beginners make the mistake of taking recommendations literally and the truth is that whatever method made on person rich, IS NOT necessarily going to work with everyone. YOU need to TRY, TEST, and DECIDE what best suits your personality. You yourself said that you have wasted too much precious time navigating the net and not really doing anything, that is why it is important for you to take action.

Here are some of the things you can get started with that do not require you to invest in your own product or site, just a little bit of money needs to be invested in promotion.

1- Referral Programs - Earn money by referring people to sign up or buy from a particular site. Amount of commission varies depending on the program
2- Affiliate Program - the same as a referral program except that you are actually SELLING someone else's product
    3- Clickbank products

There are MANY more things that can be done, but again it depends on so much. Just approach it with a realistic vision. NO ONE gets rich overnight unless they win the lottery. SO, if you work hard you can make money online and be successful while you are at it.

    Good luck with your site.

I definitely think you should invest in a domain. There's no harm in promoting more than one programme's products, so if there's relevant amazon stuff as well as clickbank stuff, why not give both a go?

It will take time for your site to take off, so don't be disheartened if you don't see instant results. Just keep on adding content, building links, and experiementing with affiliate programs - what works for one person won't always work for another in a different niche.

    Good luck!

    Hey,

Basically, you find the subject you're interested in. In my case, it's photography. I write about DSLRs so I look for questions that are related to such cameras and which one to buy.
Then I tell them a bit about which camera they should buy, why, and which fit in their budget, then I do like:
    - I copy the link of my article and do like 'Here is a post called 'Buying DSLR, what's importnant, megapixels, features lala, here is the post - http://***'.

Don't say like 'here's a link to my blog - http://' - you are not allowed to promote your own site, I got banned for it. It helped people but weird..I re-registered after a few weeks then.
