Two completely nonsense statements in one sentence. EDIT: Now I think about it we shouldn't be drawing these cartoons while a nutbag religious country like Pakistan has nukes.
Finally they removed the page and facebook saying they have not get any warning regarding to page (which was against there own term and condition) Facebook think we are blind? over 40,000+ report agianst the page was sent to facebook through report button and they are saying we have not get any thing... another proof of....
It was down for awhile last night, perhaps because of all the extremist muslims frothing at the mouth, writing death threat posts to anyone who would insult their "peaceful" religion. However, Facebook brought it back up. Not sure what's up, but it looks like the associated event page for that particular group is definitely up. Oh wait, here's Everybody Draw Mohammed Day! in which they are directing to a new group which already has over 14,000 members: Everybody Draw Mohammad Day - May 20th, 2010 Oh, but you probably can't see anything because your country bans Facebook, Youtube, Wikipedia, and so forth. Though, Everybody Draw Mohammad Day is certainly not dependent on Facebook's approval or disapproval.
Stop imagining you are in the real world. I am still laughing at facebook statement “We are very disappointed with the Pakistani courts’ decision to block Facebook without warning, and suspect our users there feel the same way,†Facebook said in a statement to French news agency. they though we are blind? more than 40,000+ report request send to facebook. These all stuff give me another reason to proud to be a Muslim, because if in Judaism or Christ religion its teach that make fun of other religion is Ok , then i am happy that i am Muslim because making fun of religion is not encourage in Islam. Thanks God i am a Muslim
In the west we have a saying that respect is given to those who earn and deserve it. Has Islam earned the respect of the west? Why would people not be allowed to make fun of something? I'm not saying it's a good or a bad thing, but if people choose not to believe in Allah and think that Muhammed was a quack job, then their freedom to express that should not be challenged.
I think Pakistani court take decision according to their people demand. Pakestani people are so religious and ask for respect for their believes, don't want to tell they are right but Pakistan has a lot of good aspects that you less attention to them. Pakistan has democracy and their government are rational. now Pakistan is first stronghold in front of extremists and terrorists and every day a lot of Pakistani are dying for this reason. Although they are religious but their leader was a wonderful woman who assassinated by terrorists.
Blogmaster you asked good question as much as i know Islam earn respect in west specially in America from where the facebook page owner girl belong. Thats why according to wikipedia Islam is most growing religion of American. making fun of some thing may hurt felling of human being, like this staff (20th May) hurt billions of Muslims feelings thats why Islam says: "A Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hands the people are safe". [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. What about those who does not believe on Allah. Well as much as i know no religion in the world encourage people make fun of other religion. What about those who are not religionist and follow rules and law Wikipedia Notes: Freedom of speech in the United States is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and by many state constitutions and state and federal laws. There are exceptions to these general protection, including the Miller test for obscenity, child pornography laws, speech that incites imminent danger, and regulation of commercial speech such as advertising. Item 3.7 of Facebook TOS says “You will not post content that: is hateful, threatening, or pornographic; incites violence; or contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence†Yup, millions of SMS was sent to request gov to ban fb I have decided that i will not reply you and some other member because my time is very important i can not waste on those people who are here to make fun of religion or just for time pass. because those who really want to learn are already in my MSN list and learning day to day. But you have question so let me clear once again (i clear too many time to you) Every time you guys Blame Allah, Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and the whole religion Islam for Muslims terror activities. Allah says in Quran "if you kill one person unjustly as, you killed the whole humanity, I hope next time you will blam the right person rather than the religion Pakistan has democracy we all agree but not good as it should be.
Huh? If muslims in islamic countries choose to live under blasphemy laws, censoring, and restriction of information, while as backwards as that may be, you can certainly choose to do so. Why stop at Facebook, YouTube, and Wikipedia -- why not censor yourself from Google, the entire Internet, and just use your computer as a chair. I don't care. But, the point is, muslims cannot expect to restrict the freedom of speech for everyone else. We do have freedom of speech, and I've expressed mine in an act of solidarity, to protest against the intolerance of muslims who have threatened cartoonists around the world. You do realize that Everybody Draw Mohammad Day, is a response to muslim threats of violence?
Allah also said that the judgement day will come when Muslims kill the Jews. Religion of Peace. But I guess according to your Koran, killing a non muslims is not "unjust"
see you again write the stuff which make no sense and changed the topic. come on you are a mature you can not judge a religion on your guesses. come one, you dont know about your own law and religion Wikipedia Notes: Freedom of speech in the United States is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and by many state constitutions and state and federal laws. I apriciate your thinking but not sure such thing mentioned in Quran! you have to be sure when qute from Quran. afraid to tell you are not right too!
I wish you would specifically say what you're trying to point out, rather than just cutting and pasting all this in hopes that I might be able to read your mind. What I said was, "If muslims in islamic countries choose to live under blasphemy laws, censoring, and restriction of information, while as backwards as that may be, you can certainly choose to do so. Why stop at Facebook, YouTube, and Wikipedia -- why not censor yourself from Google, the entire Internet, and just use your computer as a chair. I don't care. You do realize that Everybody Draw Mohammad Day, is a response to muslim threats of violence?" Your response was "come one, you dont know about your own law and religion" I'll try to answer, even though I'm not sure what your trying to say... In regards to freedom of speech, your quote doesn't apply to what is being discussed, as we have NO blasphemy laws -- and we can draw pictures of Mohammad all day long. With few exceptions, we can say or express anything we want, but direct threats of violence are not allowed. With religion, I don't have one. So, the comment you don't know about your religion doesn't make a whole lot of sense either. Facebook terms and conditions are not law or religion. It's a private websites guidelines, and the admin will interpret what constitutes "hateful, threatening, or pornographic; incites violence; or contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence" as they see fit.
When you are facebook you have to follow its rules, just same like DP Item 3.7 of Facebook TOS says “You will not post content that: is hateful, threatening, or pornographic; incites violence; or contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence†come on Blogmaster you belive on Helvetii statement? who has not mentioned any source any time I was not expected from you "If someone kills another person - unless it is in retaliation for someone else or for causing corruption in the earth - it is as if he had murdered all mankind. And if anyone gives life to another person, it is as if he had given life to all mankind. Our Messengers came to them with Clear Signs but even after that many of them committed outrages in the earth. (Surat al-Ma'ida: 32)"
Just because he believes in every conspiracy theory out there doesn't mean that he's a pro Muslims Your proof: Muhammad said, "He who wrongs a Jew or Christian will have myself as his indicter on the Day of Judgment."[34] Another hadith says: "A Jew will not be found alone with a Muslim without plotting to kill him."[42] According to another hadith, Muhammad said: He said: "The Day of Judgement will not come about until Muslims fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Muslims, O Abdullah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only the Gharkad tree, (a certain kind of tree) would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews." What is hate to you, may not be to me -- and visa versa. Ultimately, Facebook decides how to manage their own site. I'm not sure why you would be concerned at this point, as your country has banned Facebook. Everybody Draw Mohammad Day can go on without Pakistan, so you should be happy now.
