I think forums are slowly dying out, to be honest. Obviously forums like this one won't, as they are already established and have a large user base. I would highly recommended that you stay away from starting a forum unless you have a unique product that no one else has any insight on. That being said, I think straight information-sites are the way to go. Only problem then is all your content comes from the webmaster as it takes a bit more effort to implement a system for user input without turning it into a forum/blog.
Article rewrites until Google fixes how much this helps keyword ranking I don't think any niche is BOOMINg in ecommerce now it is kind of slow still Maybe, but forums still serve good community purpose that other niche haven't replace yet I think lots of ecommerce has slowed with global economy at least in US
If you're looking for a booming buisness, I'd suggest niching down to a smaller market. My buisness is developing websites for companies, but I try to get down to smaller niches. Such as Chicago Divorce Lawyers who specialize in no-fault, for example.
I'm pretty sure that the TECH niche will always be popular. Especially since there's literally new technology coming out every few weeks that revolutionizes everything. Yugo,

Ah, I probably shouldn't have used booming business as a term. I'm not actually looking to make money, (maybe a little off of adsense,) however I am just looking to start a site, just to keep me occupied. Sorry for not responding to this thread; been busy with life stuff. However, now it should be all over. I can start this project, now I have some ideas in mind that is.
"earn money just doing nothing" is a scam, and sooner or later the bottom will fall out. I say do something or blog about something you love, and the rest will fall into place.
You looked despair. Take it easy. But you have to focus and be consistent. Trying to make continues improvement.
I think all niche is good to start because no you have google if you don't know how to get source, but the difficult part is how to beat them on the niche on google... so just trying and see the results.. learning by doing, you will get the business that fit to you later..
Why dont you start a good content site like ehow and have volunteers to contribute data . Slowly you will start getting Search traffic and also people giving data on their own .
I'd recommend looking into the green (environment, renewables ect) sector, mainly as it is likely to continue to grow at a pretty rapid pace over our lifetime. The majority of people currently in this area are not Tech minded, rather green enthusiasts and the SEO will uncompetitive compared to areas like Tech niches. Also customers that are in these niches are likely to be very passionate and willing to spend money on information, products ect.
Did you have any real knowledge for something? Did you have a real passion for something? Are you different from the crowd and with what? If you have only one positive answer on this 3 questions you have a big chance to success and make money. Just buy the domain name similar to your knowledge or passion and start to write. Add some adsense, contera or infolinks. Write at least 2 posts per day. Search engines will do the rest... Within three months you will earn a good money...
