    Hi Guys,

I posted a similar thread in another forum and thought I would do the same here.

Basically for those of you that are just starting with Clickbank and still trying to get that first sale what is the biggest hurdle you are finding?

I am thinking of making a product that will help beginners get that first sale, however there is a ton out there so don't want to make another guide where newbies feel swamped and the same cycle happens again i.e information overload!

So tell me where you need help and i will do my best to address it here in this thread.

Let's get you that first sale and work from there!

    Chris

Wow, bless you for your kindness for helping others!

I'm in the middle of developing a product and I have a couple of questions.

    - It's great to create a product that has low competition, correct? (i.e. 1-2 products are only in the Clickbank marketplace instead of 10-20)
    - Does it matter how I set up my website to sell my product? I really want to make it as neat and clean as possible, without it looking like other Clickbank product websites. I want to be unique!
    - How can I have affiliates jump on my wagon? When I launch my product, I will be more than happy to help affiliates market my product so they can gain a profit. They'll also receive honesty and kindness from me. No bs! :)
    - With my product, a TON of articles can be created from it. Is this good for affiliates so they don't have to write about the same thing all the time in order to market my product?

    Thank you! :)

Good to see someone who is actively trying to help noobs.

    Chris is the man =P

YES! This is a great thing for affiliates because it's easy to get stuck in a rut trying to find what to write about for a product. Without a decent amount of information there isn't a way to build a truly effective article marketing campaign. So yes, the more the better.

Ok, awesome! I'm so glad to hear that! With my product, you can write a ton of articles... about 10+ subjects that all lead back to the focus of my product. Hopefully that is good enough for affiliates. I made sure I set my product up that way so I can give affiliates (for those who are new and for those who are "super affiliates") an easier time to market my product in an honest, creative, and profitable approach.

Theoretically a product with less competition should do well, since you'd be at the top of the search engines/

People might be interested to promote your product since it's a new niche...

However things just don't work out that way since there's competition in most niches/ you'd be amazed to see products on teeth whitening and fishing.. carpet cleaning and skiing ... everything is out there..

My point is that you can have success in some of the top niches and never be scarred away by your competitors. Everyone gets a share of the market if you know how.

You know, Google is so kind. They really throw a lot of traffic at your site if you show them informative, keyword optimized, quality content and some good, relevant, trustable in-content links regularly.

Do what Matt Cutts says. Sometimes it really seems simple as that!

    hi Chri,
If you show newbies how to know which Clickbank product is profitable and how to EASILY drive targeted traffic to the sales pages, you will be putting a smile on their faces.

NO targeted traffic = Waste of resources

I am very new to the Clickbank and this post came at the perfect time. I am right in the middle to writing 2 ebooks that I hope to be ready by the end of the month and I definitely want them to be avaialbe on Clickbank and want affiliates to promote for me.

I see most people are offering 50% to 75% comissions to their affiliates, is that one of the best ways to get people to promote you? I was thinking of pricing my first book at $19.99 based on my research. I will certainly take the $10 and run with it, but I'm wondering if I am pricing too low.

Also the length of the ebook - I am thinking that I am getting a bit long winded because I really want to give a great value for the money (to hopefully avoid people think that they have been ripped off) I have seen my share of 50 page ebooks that really have about 15 pages of real information in them. One of my books is about 50 pages double spaced and normal 12 point type.

Lastly (for now) most of the sales pages that I've seen look very similar, long pages that you have to scroll and scroll down; narrow, centered, etc. I would like mine to be a bit different, but at the same time, am afraid of the ïf it aint broke don't fix it" thing.

Thanks a bunch for all the information -- It is much appreciated.

    Al ---

    Soon to be Clickbank Author...

Cheers man! Thanks for your kind words! :)

Yes you are right about one thing : NO targeted traffic = Waste of resources < too true!

However how to know which product is a winner even if you check all the boxes is hard work!

I will try my best though!

If you have picked the niche well and there is a real NEED there then you should be fine!

Affiliates normally go for 75% yes, but you should not be thinking about affiliates at this point.

Write your sales page and split test the 2 - do one conventional and the other the way you want it and then see which brings in more sales.

Keep split testing till you get the conversions down and then launch and you will have NO problems getting affiliates!

    Hi,

Not always, although easier to market you have to ask why there is no competition in the first place - somewhere in the middle is good!

You can make it unique - in fact that might be more refreshing, just make the sales copy good and make it flow well and you will be fine!

If you make sure you get your product converting BEFORE you launch you will have no problems getting affiliates believe me!

Yes that is good give as many resources to affiliates as you can and this will help you as well.

    Keep the questions coming guys,

    Chris

Best way to go about it would be to create a product that would have less competition and would be a MUST HAVE in the industry

    Hi,

i'm trying to sell clickbank products, but i saw a lot of threads saying that go
for a low gravity , others mentioned find the one which have highest paid out, don't
matter about the gravity. Even some mentioned about popularity. All these confused
    me a bit.

So, how do you pick a good product and what is the best method of selling it.ie: write
a review of the products etc.

    Thanks for your help.

    Arman

Thanks for all of the really valuable information. It is much appreciated. Next question ---- Once my eBook is done and I get it out in the world, what's a good way to get a few sales so that I can prove my mettle? From what I have read, some article writing in strategic places is a good start.. Where else should I be looking?
