Would really LIKE a SEO recommendation, there are so many out there and would like to find something that works extremely well for my site. Do you have any recommendations? Any reputable companies that produce search engine results, and are easy to communicate with?

Mate, I don't think any professional SEO firm would ever guarantee No. 1 Google position as it is nearly impossible to prove.

About your search to find authentic SEO firm, I would suggest you to do a brief survey (on Google) within your country for professional SEO firms. If they can make your keyword on top that easy then why its very cheap. Optimizing a keyword takes time and effort to reach the top. I optimize a keyword but I will not state a price like it.

Come on guys be realistic. I feel the one who is paying should be aware of where the money is being used and how it is going to be utilized.

i don't think it is possible for any keyword top position at cheap price.it is good if you do it by yourself or hire some one who can do link building for you.i don't think it is reliable offer.

 

No "Legit" SEO firm can guarantee a 1st page Google Ranking. I also doubt "NBC" trusts their site to $199/yr SEO firm lol. Good SEO service providers can only guarantee "improvement". $199/yr is also impossible for decent SEO service. That is not even a decent monthly rate for a good SEO company. Remember SEO is an ongoing process and you need to be constantly working on it.
