Another long shot but I knew a man in Hong Kong who was reunited with his family via a letter to a newspaper. He'd cut off ties with his family years before, sister moved to the US, no contact for many years but they heard through the grapevine that he was living in HK. The niece sent a letter to the South China Morning Post, someone who knew George pointed it out to him in the pub and rest is history. Knowing George he probably did another bunk sometime later but it is worth a shot if you know the general area she may be in to write a letter to the local newspapers requesting information. good luck
Did they get divorced in Texas? If so, I think divorces are public information and should be filed away somewhere.
Any chance she's back in Korea? Over here the Koreans have a pretty tight nit community - not with the foreign students but with the people who have moved here permanently. While they may be scattered across the city they keep in touch and work together for social and political strength. Can you hook into a similar network in Texas?
Try US search. The hard thing about locating a woman is you have to know what last name she is using. If your Dad's parents are living they might know a little. Also any Aunts, Uncles, etc. Every clue you can accumulate helps. If Texas the state you might want to look at http://www.dshs.state.tx.us/vs/marriagedivorce/dindex.shtm Another angle, try unclaimed money funds. The Texas one found here. http://www.window.state.tx.us/up/ . People often move and leave few dollars in banks. My best friend, her brother, and my next door neighbor were all adopted and they have all been able to unearth their birth parents. Where there is a will there is a way. Good luck.
this is a very bad situation and i can just say good luck as i cannot help you Hope you find her Amit
Thanks a lot for this, will take a look at that for sure. Im not sure if she moved back to korea, but i have a hunch she remarried again.
hey man, sorry to hear about your case... and good that you're taking the initiative to look for your mom... i say the fastest way out is to get some information from your dad that you can use to look for your mom - i'm sure he will have information that you can use. good luck!
you are lucky.. I don't even remember my dad's face, heck I never called "daddy" in my life, because they divorced when I was 3 and I moved to US, because in asia. People will look down on kids, who don't have both mom and dad (much less divorce rate).. thanks to over 50% divorce rate in US.. It's normal to not have both mom and dad... Now i'm US citizen, thanks to my grandparents and I get to earn money on YPN. Now i'm finally happy Hopefully you find your mommy
Well here's some tips I can give you: 1. dump your girlfriend for doing that to you 2. call EVERYWHERE! I was once looking for my friend who I havent seen in 12 years and I just started calling all over Canada and doing Google searches for him. I called banks, law firms, everywhere. I found him. He was working construction in China for the past 12 years .
It was my wrong for what i did to my girlfriend so theres no cause in dumping her for my wrong. But that's for all the help people
