    I use Vcalendar and I think it was one of the easiest scripts I have ever installed.

    maybe you can use gadget if you use OS that supports it.
    in windows, there is calendar, in linux you can add software to do it.

    if you want online version, i think yahoo or google provide it

    There's Lightning (if you use Thunderbird or SeaMonkey and want to access your calendar through your email client) and Sunbird (if you prefer a stand-alone calendar)
