I think anything bigger than like 23" or 24" is really getting to the point of being too big to appreciate. You have to sit so far back from the monitor to see it all easily that it becomes hard to read things at the native resolutions of the monitor because it's so small.
Big screens are perfect if you're doing graphics. Like me, I usually do video editing so I prefer the bigger screens. Right now, I have a 19-inch samsung flat screen. I also connected my 29-inch TV to my PC when I preview the videos I am editing so that I can see everything clearer.
I think at this time and age, designers/developers should have at least a 22" with a 1920X1080 resolution.. I've got a 21.5" iMac.. @ 1920X1080, much more desktop real-estate .
i like big computer screen... but i haven't buy it... i'm just using it on my univerity public computer, it maybe 21 inh, and it is huge i think.... but, i'm still happy with 15.4 inch...
I have an 18" Inch Computer screen right now, but i want it to get it more bigger screen for playing games and other stuff.
I'm using 15" Samsung computer screen today and also my 15" laptop screen.. hmm.. maybe i like to change my computer screen to 24" ;-)
It really is useful when coding, especially with windows 7. I did do a hackintosh partition, problem was the resolution was iffy. and for gaming, DoD, CSS and MMORPGS are fun to play when on the big screen
