I'm glad of such alert in Saudi police. I think Saudi police done their ultimate effort to prevent of earth quake and beside send people to heaven by force!

Thank you for the article. Quite interesting. I particularly enjoyed this phrase"People are fed up with these religious police, and now they have to pay the price for the humiliation they put people through for years and years,' Saudi human rights activist Wajiha Al Huwaidar told the Media Line news agency."

If people want to do something that doesn't cause harm to those around, why should we prohibit that? Religion should exist for those, who really trust. It is simply impossible to impose this or that belief on somebody.

I'm not against any religion... This is just my opinion.

    Thanks!

Mozzyweb - nice to see another Australian around this section of the forums. :) I enjoyed that part too.

babak44 - I like your sense of humor.

What amazes me on the earthquake topic is that Australia, a warm, beach filled country in which almost everyone lives near to the coasts - we have more women in bikinis than anywhere else, more times of the year than almost anywhere else - yet we have had no major earthquakes in my life time. (We had a tremor recently but it was minor, with no one being injured.)

    1) I don't compare myself with Muslims; the only time I compare the West with Muslims is when I am considering what should be done about certain things; like jihad. Then I compare, and I support the solution. (The solution being death to all who are out to hurt us or try to rape kids and cover women up :))

    2) If there were a god who loved you more, I promise you, he or she wouldn't give us everything and make you blow yourselves up for him or her :p

    3) If there was a god, he or she would not love any one person's prayers more than another person's prayers.

It's a really difficult situation for Saudi women. If they get a divorce, I think their children can be taken away. Even in an abusive relationship, not many mothers would want to abandon their children. Then, if they call the police, most likely they won't be helped. If they want to leave, how would they be independent anyway, as they are extremely limited in the work force. They can't vote, they can't drive, they are segregated from men. A woman's testimony is disregarded, they often don't get to choose who to marry, they have to cover practically from head to toe, and can't even leave the house without a guardian. They are treated as second-class citizens in their own country. Usually if I read "Woman beats police officer" my first inclination would be negative towards the woman. But, a woman in Saudi Arabia? I'm cheering her on. I just really, really hope she doesn't get caught.

yeah you are right. suggest you one time feel like a Taliban or Mullah. feels good! lol
    as Obamanation said

seems you know a lot about situation of women in Islamic countries.
in Saudi Arabia constitutional law is Koran and courts have to judge according to Koran.
if you want to see woman law have to read "Chapter 4: AN-NISA (WOMEN)"
yeah women can't divorce, the children are belong to men. without father acceptance no girl can marry.
the value of a woman is half of a man, means if a man blind two eyes of a woman has to compensate just one eye. beside boy got twice of a girl from family heritage.
